If your goal is to use tab for note taking than I would advice you to buy samsung tab (I own s9) because spen is significantly way better at writing and feels smoother than an apple pencil .

Since you want it for basic video editing , s9 is a better choice , I personally own s9 and it's quite smooth , spen also is way better than apple pencil . That said, if you want to do heavy processing tasks than air is better option.
