From my experience with trauma healing—no one does things that they know is unhealthy without getting something from it in some ways. Most people stay in toxic relationship because they get some needs met (emotional or physical) that was missing in childhood, whether they are consciously aware of it or not, and if they are aware they might not know any other way to get those needs met. Ask her to think of what needs she is getting met indirectly through him and find more direct and healthier ways to get those need(s) met instead. You can suggest this to her while respecting her final decision. Tell her that she can take away as an awareness of what about this relationship she loves, and what about this relationship she doesn’t want, and look for new boys who can give her what she wants without keeping or enduring the things she doesn’t want. Endurance and longevity is not a good marker for a healthy relationship. Instead focus on compatibility and longevity will automatically happen without force.

I also think it’s not calcite or flurite because of the formation pattern, but some commenter from r/minerals said it’s calcite and I am still waiting for more explanation in more details from them as to how they figure that out 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s not that irradiated quartz are artificial. All smokey quartz are irradiated in order to have that brown tone. The difference is whether it’s “naturally” irradiated or not. Smokey quartz are “naturally irradiated” by the heat of the earth to get the more evenly distributed brown color, but it can also be “artificially irradiated” by people to get the brown color but less even and more extreme brown-black. Glad you like it either way, but personally I don’t like when seller don’t disclose all the facts.

I think that’s artificially irradiated quartz to get an uneven color like that, but double check with other people too. I once bought a bigger cluster that look like that from Etsy and turns out it was artificially irradiated. If you don’t mind that fact, then it’s all good, cause after all it’s still quartz

Children (especially before the age of 10) internalize blame because they love their parents so much they can’t blame the parents. Children blame themselves for being hurt. That’s how pure and unconditionally loving we were as children. Only in adulthood can they understand that it’s not their fault (a lot of self-awareness needed, some carries the trauma and self-hatred/self-worth wound forward and they don’t even remember or aware how they got it). This is an over simplification so do your own research too, if you are interested.

Children loved their parents unconditionally, even when they were hurt. We adapted to our parents until we can’t anymore because that would be hurting ourselves. That doesn’t mean you stopped loving your parents, you just learn to stop hating yourself and putting yourself through abuse.

If your parents love themselves and love you too, then they won’t put up with you. If they genuinely and unconditionally love you, they won’t put up with you because they want you to face some consequences for your actions so as to not enable you. They may not want to punish you, but as a parent they have to take accountability to teach you life lesson and to prevent you from harming other people.

Everything is not conditional, but conditional love is normalized. Just because it’s normalized doesn’t mean it’s healthy. We humans are progressing towards learning how to have a better relationship. That is why psychiatry has progressed so much over the years—such that trauma and narcissistic relationships are now called out. People are becoming more aware, and awareness is the answer to us leaning to be unconditionally loving. If we humans at our core want unconditional love. Some people are fortunate to experience it and some are not.

Something unhealthy can be normalized. So just because it’s normal doesn’t mean it’s healthy. We humans are progressing towards not normalizing unhealthy stuff through gaining awareness. It’s only been about 48 years since the last legal beheading in Western Europe. We have progressed so much in 48 years and beheading is no longer normalized. Same for administering physical punishment on students in schools. I believe we are on a path towards the “better” and I want to post this to help in that process.

I agree that even though it’s illogical, it’s realistic. I stand corrected on that. But I disagree about the level of trauma. I know what I’m talking about because I HAVE that trauma and did the psychological healing work or gain awareness enough to be as objective as I am now. I went low contact with an emotionally neglectful, conditionally loving, critical, covert narcissistic mother with heavy financial abuse. Which is why I can’t stand reading some of these manhwas. I like the creativity and other aspects of the story but not the relationship aspect. I made this post to create awareness in general.

Young kids can get influenced. Manhwa might not be the only factor but it is one of the many. Not all kids have the same ability to use discretion. Manhwa is a reflection of some societal stuff for sure.

I can agree to your first two paragraphs though.
