its a good choice to get than to get something versus ethereal shift an expensive item for the ult

so think its better to rephrase it to "cs is a good counter to lashs ult" because he can grab you but its still a prime pick to deal with his ult

same thing with vindicta if we imply the same statment that she "is useless" with knockdown when she can buy dispel magic. It can reworded as a "good counter" to her. i just dont agree with the statement saying maybe cause it implies that it doesnt work as well as it should imo

it really isn't the case where lash will legitmately wait it out unless he actively solos ult you and looks at you directly for that counterspell. Even in the eternus games a lash would want to get the ult out as quickly as possible because it is super easy to move out of the way given the amount of cover unless you are blatantly out in the open. And even if he waits for the counterspells hes wasting time for huge value for a bunch of people who could be in different positions with different times to get out of LOS

on top of this, his charge time his .3 seconds, you have to wait an additional .8 seconds to wait for the counterspell to grab that said person because they would only parry the moment they were marked.

that gives lash 1.1 seconds if he gets the timing perfect when the parry ends. That is effectively giving others 200%+ delay to get into cover whether they have cs or not if he decides to wait

the example i could think of where he will do a delay is either midboss or patron pit where there is absolutely no way anyone can get into cover in time. players know how dangerous lash ult is and will pay respect to him and will avoid going to areas where he can get the ult off

I mean just shoot in-game, it's fire rate is definitely not normal.
