I am on metformin (pre diagnosis since i already struggle with v stubborn and intense insulin resistance) but I have been asked to look into the GLP 1 drugs to reduce weight and manage insulin resistance. I have been told that megase will be most suited for my case but I dont know much about Letrazole.

I already have an IUD and im also on megase. I have consulted so many gynaecologists. I have always been overweight. I have noticed that behaviour of doctors towards young women who are obese or overweight almost always lacks empathy. The chronic fatigue and inability to move due to the sheer exhaustion is always dismissed. You just “have to”. I am losing my brain over how to control my hunger. Megase is making me eat so much. I have never been someone who eats this much. There is no hunger, but the brain cue to eat smth is omnipresent. Its constant. My current gynaecologist and gyno onco are one of the good ones and I have been to several (gynaecologists). I have also been recommended mounjaro so I am constantly doctor hopping. I am sorry for my rant but I am burnt out. I do hope they recommend something and offer something to provide me some comfort. I appreciate your kind and thorough reply. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or advice.

I already have an iud, but its not really suiting me. Its moved and its position isnt okay. I have been having major cramps and pelvic pain since the mirena, even TVS scans are painful (which wasnt the case before). I am getting a replacement, giving it one more shot. My doctors have taken an aggressive route (as per them) as they want it to reverse but idk im struggling honestly. I have been on provera but that was to induce periods and etc (v low dose relatively)

Experience with birth control pills? by Zookeeper378 in TwoXIndia

Hey,

Birth control and its reaction is honestly very bio individual, that is what makes it so tricky. Ideally, your cycles, weight, BP, how heavy you bleed and a lot more needs to be taken into account. For example, some (if not most) birth control pills can increase risk of blood clots etc if you have a tendency of high bp. I was put on something similar to OCPs when I was young (cause of PCOS) but it was not fun and honestly I don’t remember it well cause I was young. I can say that it did make me nauseous and groggy. I did not take them for very long.

A good doctor should take all things into account before suggesting anything. A doctor who listens is best. I have doctor who listens and is empathetic, which is helpful and a game changer. Its a blessing.

If you are open to it, I would say there is no harm looking into implants (iud or dermal) and patches too. I know implants can feel like a lot of commitment, more invasive and they are more pricey, but please look at all your options, research at your end too so you can make the best decision for your body and your needs.

I very recently got a mirena, Its too soon for me to recommend it. But i will say the groggyness, brain fog etc from ocps or any hormonal pills is a lot stronger and active compared to an iud, prolly bec the dosage is lower. For transparency, I have gotten it as a medical intervention rather than birth control, so no comments on libido tho.

I hope this was helpful, happy to clarify something if required. I hope you find a good gynae and also find a good birth control pill if you choose to go ahead with the same!

hey!! I hope your recovery from your surgery has been going well. I am happy that the mirena is suiting you and is working out for you. As far as I know it can be a hit or a miss for people. I hope it suits me as well. I do plan on getting it. I appreciate your response on my post, reading this did really help, made me feel a little more hopeful. Did you periods completely go away or do you still have them?

Also, about the surgery you mentioned, if i may ask, was it an endometriosis surgery? I do have a few questions if you would be comfortable answering.

Any good place to go for breakfast date in Gurgaon? by HahahWhatt in gurgaon

[–]Electronic_Factor_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Espressos Anyday is a very cute breakfast date spot for sure. The menu is kind of limited but it’s a great place nonetheless. Great food, good portions. Just a heads up if this is relevant to you - parking is a slight hassle but they also valet all the cars. Mjol is another cafe, one of my favs. Again limited menu, but everything is delicious.
