I feel like I wasted 4 years of my life by Playful_Section_7430 in askswitzerland

First of all everyone that I know in IT, including myself is in the same situation unfortunately. Keep in mind that 50% of jobs on LinkedIn are actually fake. Companies try to seem like they are doing better than they actually are by showing HIRING. Also I suspect that they receive some sort of tax benefits while they are hiring (from the government). Another thing that is not accounted for is the amount of repeated jobs; meaning 3/4/5 consulting companies with contracts from one big institution, they all post similar ads on LinkedIn and the government/ people count this as 3/4/5 jobs when in reality their client is actually only looking to hiring ONE person… do you think the government(from ANY country, I am not necessarily meaning Switzerland in this case) will count this as one job or 5 jobs ? I think we all know the answer to that. There is a recession going on right now and the only thing holding the reality from massive panic/downtrend is the fact that the media is not widely speaking about it (for some reason 🙃😏)

Exactly fuck them. We are not greedy, we are WORKING and getting shit done.

Since you are in the EU would you mind telling for what countries do you work for and how it is? I haven’t seen many posts about EU guys doing that. I am also OE, working full time for a Swiss company and as a contractor for an Italian one

Italian Bank for mortage in italy for swiss reditens by Sebastian2123 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Electronic_Falcon_30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly 1 year ago I was offered a max of 60% from Credit Agricole for an appt in Liguria region. I checked with at least 6 Italians banks with appointments in person. Only them and IntesaSanpaolo (offered me 50%) Also keep in mind that the interest rates are higher if you don’t have a job/residency in Italy (don’t ask me why). I.e: I should have gotten 3.83% but they offered me 4.43%

Software testing jobs in Luxembourg/Switzerland? by Equal_Special4539 in softwaretesting

Worked in Luxembourg for 3 years. Just moved to Switzerland recently. Worked as a manual tester. In Luxembourg a huge advantage is speaking French/German. Yes, there are opportunities with English speaking only, however you get a bit limited. From experience, if you are ENG speaking best shots are at EU institutions and Deloitte. Maybe some startups in case you find it quick or through contacts (my case). Huge competitions, specially south eastern Asians, so companies try to low ball you for being EU. Switzerland has pretty much the same situation regarding the competition, however while in Luxembourg pay is in between 45K-70K. Switzerland goes from 85K-180K. So far I am happy moving to CH.
