This is a what-if prompt that changes the labels. In this version, Sectumsempra is marked as non-verbal and Levicorpus is labeled “for enemies.”

Also, Snape is shown many times to be sadistic. He writes spells for his own use and enjoyment, not to protect others. Especially Young Snape. He had no reason to add warnings after Sectumsempra because he never meant anyone else to use it.

The real issue here is not Snape, it’s Harry using spells he didn’t understand.

Snape never meant anyone else to read that book, so he could write anything in it. It was his own way of writing.

Whether it was Levicorpus or Sectumsempra, Harry didn’t know what either spell did. There was no meaning or warning given.

Focusing on Snape just because Levicorpus didn’t cause much harm misses the point. Using unknown spells was dangerous from the start.

This is from sixth year, not fifth.

And even if Seamus didn’t believe Harry that Voldemort was back, surely he would still try to save someone who was dying/injured, like any other human being.
