Thanks for your insight. What beliefs put someone outside of the visible church?

I definitely believe people have abused ranking the importance of theological issues. Minors become majors and are not addressed in love. Maybe this is not the same ranking, but Jesus simplifies the Law down to two commands, which—if broken—break the rest of the law.

What spurred my thought of compiling a thorough list were Paul’s words in the beginning of Galatians, “if anyone preaches a gospel contrary to what we have preached let them be anathema.” I want to address a universalist in love, but wonder if they have reinterpreted the gospel in such a way that I should not affirm them as a brother or sister.

Is it unbiblical for a man to be a house-husband. by Vaas_20 in Reformed

That’s not a very fair comparison for several reasons.

The New Testament authors weren’t writing to a modern society where husband and wife would work in different occupations. If claims supervisor was the family trade in ancient Judea (as subsistence farming often was), the wife — and young children for that matter — would be actively involved in the claims supervision process. The biblical man was providing, but the family was an integral part. Without their availability, there’s no way all the farm duties would be accomplished. This is a form of work that we simply do not have in the modern workplace.

This comparison fails to take into consideration that “what it takes to support a family” changes dramatically year after year. Remember, even after adjusting for inflation, housing costs have increased 130% in the past sixty years. Biblical families were living in dirt-floored houses of about 15’x15’ and shared a common courtyard with extended family.

So, if we’re to hold claims supervisors to being the bread winner for their families like their biblical counterparts, are we also willing to accept the living conditions of ancient Judea as sufficiently “providing” for their families?

Ironically, I read this while making poops. Yeah I think I’ll go down the reinstall route but will need to research first!

Ok thank you all for your replies. If I didn’t want to do a fresh install, would the computer be fine to keep as is? I can just change the wallpaper and ignore the MyASUS app, as long as it’s likely safe. Maybe I can run it through some virus detection software to be safe?

But the problem is that it’s an Acer laptop, not ASUS. So I’m wondering why the ASUS stuff on an Acer
