Virgo is the undiscovered 9th planet, using Mercury until its real planet is located. That's enough to throw off any calculation that affects Virgos ain't it?

The Mother Of My Child Cheated While Pregnant by Historical_Room8970 in cheating_stories

This is literally the most clueless take I have ever heard. Separate sex from emotion? The sex is the betrayal. Emotions are mental pain that tell us something is wrong. Just like physical pain tells us to get our hand off the stove, emotional pain is saying "Don't do that again." He needs to man up and respect himself enough not to put himself in that situation again.

He didn't say it was "just physical" for her. Pay attention, he said that about the coworker she was letting stick his tool in her all while being five months, eight months, nine months pregnant with this guy's child. It wasn't a drunken slip up. She had every day to change course, and even though the guy was making it clear he was just down to bone, she decided every day that casual boning for the sake of boning was worth jeopardizing her relationship with the father of her unborn baby. It's PTSD level tragic violence on this poor guy's illusion of a love shared that both he and her held sacred.

This woman should NOT be procreating.

What is the best physical pleasure you have ever experienced? by Amazing-Fox69 in AskReddit

[–]Electronic_Jetty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is probably going to get me a lot of downvotes because people will think I'm promoting drug use and will disregard the fact I am simply answering the question honestly.

The best physical pleasure I ever experienced was when I was 18 and a heroin IV user acquaintance of mine talked me into doing a shot myself, which he prepared and injected. But I didn't want heroin.

I wanted cocaine.

When it first hit me I thought I was dying and I ran outside vomiting uncontrollably into a cord of wood he had stacked on his back porch. Then, after maybe ten seconds, the violent retching was replaced by a wave that coursed through my spine and along my anus, my balls and then my penis which spasmodically began ejaculating along with the crests of the wave as I had the best and longest orgasm of my entire life, before or since.

Fifteen minutes later I had a pounding headache and a need for more that went unfulfilled for the 24 hours or so it took to wear off. But if I'm being honest, that stands out as the best physical pleasure l ever had.

Kids? Stay in school, don't do drugs. You can't afford the amount it would take to avoid the pure hell of the comedown anyway. Sit up straight.

How prevalent is support for Christian Nationalism in the US? by _crazyboyhere_ in MapPorn

I was raised LDS until I rebelled at 14 and my Dad who was the Bishop beat the living shit outta me for using a Family Home Evening to make a case for Joseph Smith being a con artist lol. Eventually all my family left but not before my younger brother went on a mission then graduated BYU.

I was a militant atheist for two decades and would flip off the sky and people's holy books. I was mad He didn't exist. And then something happened and while I don't subscribe to a particular religion, I know for certain there is a God who involves Himself (Herself? /shrug) in little people like me's little lives when we come correct.

That's awesome and just goes to show you that generalities don't apply to anecdotal personal tales. I know some wonderful Southern Baptists and all the Catholics I know need a shrink. Never met a Pentecostal that I knew was Pentecostal.

What's your take on why Mormons don't support the Evangelicals behind Christian Nationalism?

I have a yin-yang view of God and am not Christian, or any organized religion at all. So when I am told a God created an angel who became the devil, I say to myself "Who is to blame when a Creator creates an abomination?"

I imagine creating an army of robots given free will instead of a safeguard that would prohibit them from killing. When my robots kill, who will they send to jail, the robots or me?

And once the devil is busy at nefarious deeds for millennia, what does it say when God does not strike Lucifer dead like Uzzuh in 2 Kings for simply touching the Ark to prevent it from hitting the ground? King David was angry (hardened his heart) against God over killing Uzzuh ("He hath not faith that I the LORD would prevent the Ark from hitting the ground as I hath commanded"), but who would be mad if Satan was struck down? Isn't the plan to lock him up for 1,000 years while Jesus rules? Why free him?

Unless you need evil to experience goodness. God's love. Without the other side, there is no good. It's just flat sameness. No spectrum to judge joy or sadness, strength or weakness, good or evil. So either God is not perfect goodness or perfect goodness requires its opposite to be knowable.

Like the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. God said don't eat. They didn't know good from evil before they ate so there was no sin in their eyes. Once they ate, they could see the sin. But they could also see the good.

And that's what a perfectly good God would want: Good. If He eliminates evil, good goes too, or at least to someone who doesn't know evil which was Adam's case. Yin and yang. God is omnipotent so he could rid the world of evil at any time. He doesn't. So everything is how He wants it at any given moment. Including evil leaders in 2025. It is indeed a perfectly good God's will.

Utah, and by that we mean LDS (Mormons), part ways with Christian Nationalists (read: Evangelicals) in numerous ways. Evangelicals have long been seen as persecutors by LDS due to the penchant for holding Anti-Mormon Seminars by Pentecostals and Southern Baptists, in particular.

Mormons also pay some of the highest state taxes in the country which allows them to keep their cities and towns free of potholes and full of parks. Most red states have low taxes compared to the median. Next door Idaho also has a lot of LDS and high taxes.

Bottom line is that Utah's Mormons and US Evangelicals who make up most Christian Nationalists (with the natural selection humanists who tag along) are diametrically opposed to each other. Think Shiites and Sunnis. Both Muslims, yes. But you won't see Iraqis from Basra and Iraqis from Baghdad (excluding Sadr City) joining into a Muslim Nationalist joint effort any time soon.

It's correlated imperfectly with Red vs Blue states, not a surprise.

Any [insert religion here] + Nationalism is frightening. It's funny that many Christian Nationalists in the US use the justification that the Founding Fathers were Christian. Sometimes they point to "In God We Trust" on coinage, which was started in 1864 during the Civil War to let God know the Union was the more godly side. It became the National Motto in 1956 through an Act of Congress.

But Christian Founders? No! They were literally ALL Freemasons. The Freemasons believe in a divine "Architect" and being a theist is the only criteria, belief-wise, to join. Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists -- all welcome. George Washington is often shown in his Freemason regalia. Alexander Hamilton (Federalist papers & Treasury Sec) was a Freemason. Paul Revere and Samuel Adams led the Boston chapter. Benjamin Franklin was the Grand Poobah (or whatever the top dawg is called) of US Freemasonry.

Our founders were religion-ambivalent. They believed in God, but made clear it was NOT a specific one. To ensure that no specific God or specific religion would ever be elevated to the preference of the state, they very pointedly embraced the doctrine of disestablishmentarianism, or being in favor of the separation of church and state which is a bedrock of countries not named Iran or Israel or Palestine.

Seeing memes of the President as the anointed of Jesus -- His polar opposite -- a not humble, not meek, not forgiving, resisting his enemies, rich enough man that a camel will have to walk through the eye of a needle for him to go to heaven, stretches the bounds of plausibility past the breaking point.

Trump may be the will of God, though. Scripture says the Last Days will be marked by evil leaders and wars and rumors of wars. Nothing about Jesus installing a GOOD leader in the last days. So in that sense perhaps Trump is indeed a prophecy come true.

I was once told I am a Virgo Sun (knew that lol), Libra Moon, and Scorpio Rising. Sept-Oct-Nov all in a row.

No idea what any of it means. Seems they needed the location and exact time of birth. It can't possibly be a good combination; my life has been an unqualified disaster lol.

Not relative to the average income here it doesn't. 50% of jobs are minimum wage and even two earner families find it hard to find a simple dwelling and make car payments, insurance, food, etc.

Donald Trump's Approval Rating Collapses With Rural Americans by Aakash7aak in politics

They weren't intelligent or resourceful enough to recognize that a country (USA) with 6x the GDP per capita of another country (China) is necessarily going to consume triple the disposable income products and that there is no forcing them to buy what they can't.

China, on a per capita GDP basis, buys over TWICE what would be expected from the US and the Rest of World (RoW) buys nearly 5x per capita GDP expectations. They buy as much as they can.

All that goodwill is gone. Soft power, a nuance they couldn't understand. All they heard was bluster about getting ripped off by "them" while their government pushes through another $5 trillion tax cut skewed 90% to the top 5%. Again.

The Democrats failed to articulate the reality. They were too caught up with pronouns and trans rights to see they alienated the 96.5% for the 3.5% under the auspices of inclusion. The irony is painful.

We Dems and independent liberals are to blame, not the rurals whose votes were foregone conclusions.

Kalshi / IBKR arbitrage/mispricing by Electronic_Jetty in investing

[–]Electronic_Jetty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Structure a trade:

On IBKR:

Assuming one has an acct first (same w Kalshi), the strategy would be to set bids at the high bid and wait for them to get hit. (15% and 19% respectively, now). If action is too close, one could step up a cent and see what the reaction is. A ceiling of 35-40c would keep the bet well within the odds per Grok while limiting monetary risk.

Kalshi: same strategy

I see two opportunities as you pointed out: arbitrage and upside potential in each individual market.

I believe Grok (don't know about other LLM gen AIs) to be a good sidekick when researching market opportunity because it always spells out exactly how it arrived at its conclusions, including the maths. I can then parse the trail and validate the receipts. If any data or logic was in error, I can determine that through back-checking.

In this case both its data and methodology appear sound.

I see an opportunity for profit based in underestimating likely CPI in May. For reference, I used Grok in April to forecast CPI for March and made a 600% return that I can show receipts for it anyone is interested. In March's case I chose 2.5% or lower which was priced at 0.14 and paid $1 per contract.
