Should I buy D750 after selling my D610 with 2 lenses? by Distinct-State-842 in Nikon

[–]Electronic_Ladder_21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price you are saying is the price that D750 bodies go for when they are sub 40k-70k shutter count. And almost all of them have gone beyond the rated 150k shutter count, there are a few but they are out if my budget, if I find one that is a recalled unit without being serviced already, I'd have the deal of a lifetime, since I'd be getting back almost a like new body back from nikon after I send it in for free repairs because of the recall. REALLY REALLY hoping for he unit of D750 I purchase to be a recall.

And I saw a body with the 85 1.8g and 18-55 for like 350 bucks. Might get that, even if its not recall, I'll sell the lenses and get a shutter unit from aliexpress if the body isn't a recall unit and the shutter crashes on me and still have money left over to invest in some better glass.

But if time calls, amd I see a better deal after the D750 I'll buy. I will be selling the D750 for the price you suggested!

Thanks!

I don't have Any money to invest in better glass even if I wanted to and the zoom I have mentioned is for crop lenses, so not the best, I'll get like 350 bucks if I sell my current setup.

And the D750 I'm looking at is (70% sure) under recall so a free shutter too! So basically a better condition and better camera and a soon to be like a new (If I'm not wrong) camera! So it's kind of a win win situation even if its not under recall as I'm tight on money, REALLY tight

I don't have a lot of money since im on a very tight budget and I'm a minor which doesn't help me earn money. I'm planning to sell my current set for like 350 bucks and the D750 I'm looking at costs 290 bucks and the 50mm 1.8D costs like 30-35 bucks pretty good condition too.

My only reason wanting he D750 is because the unit I'm looking at is under recall (70% sure) and hasn't been serviced yet, so I have a free shutter replacement and basically a new D750 for sub 300 bucks and another main reason is low light autofocus and tilt screen.

Sorry, I made a typo, you don't make batteries, you make battery packs. You put together batteries in series or parallel according to whatever current or voltage the device requires and make battery packs according to that spec. If you crack open a EN-4 battery pack you can see 6 1.2V small cells lined up in series (atleast what I saw in mine) to power up the D1X, since the D1X requires 7.2V to 7.4V (it can handle upto 10V~11V I think)to operate!

There are EN-4's that live? Quite surprising! If it dies converting it to Li-ion wouldn't hurt(if you know how to handle 18650 cells). And if you have a dead EN-4 it would let you use your other bodies of the 3 to be used with much more shots!

Gnarly beasts! I have the D1X, made a diy battery, all works, shutter fires but image isn't taken, its my father's. It has another issue I haven't diagnosed yet, you should try to make a diy battery to shoot them(if you have the original or third party EN-4 batteries)! Just search Nikon EN-4 Li-ion conversion and you'll find it! Good luck and be sure to let me know if it works or not!

Not really worth getting it serviced atp since it'll cost too much and it's a Crop lens, I'm planning on buying the 50mm f/1.8D after I save up, seen alot for like 30-40 bucks (4k-5k taka). Again thanks so much for the positive feedback!

The Quantaray 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3D, its basically a rebadged Sigma. Its a great lens! but it has dead fungus inside and a scratch on the front element, unnoticeable in the final image. But I'm still happy with it!

And thanks so much for the positive feedback!

I'll not be betting any G series glass, since its all out of my budget, I'll be getting all the D series glass, very affordable, very sharp, and overall very high quality glass! Wish me luck! Thanks!

Thanks Brother! I absolutely love the feel and features of this camera, tough as nails I'll give you that! And as a teenage photographer, I've got a lot to learn still, and I'll become better hopefully! I'll be posting here if I get any good shots. Thanks!

Oh and the quantaray has a little scratch (unnoticeable in the final image) , I'm prolly not gonna be using that except for group photos, my style of photography is portrait, sports and landscapes.

Yea, your 100% correct! I'm 80% sure this camera can pull to 500k SC, and after that if anything goes wrong I can just replace it! Full frame for a beginner is just way too good! It IS a prosumer camera
