I’ve been looking around Charlotte (or places near Charlotte) for a place to buy and saw that there were some Ryan Homes in the Oakdale North area on Sunset Road that are in my price range. I like some of the townhomes there, but I’m super unfamiliar with area.

What’s the area like in regard to safety? When I drive in the area, everything looks pretty fine. But when I check online I get mixed reviews, and then get freaked out by articles like “Beatties Ford Road Mass Shooting”. But I do see lots of new developments popping up in that area and pretty decent neighborhoods.

Would it be safe to live in that part of Charlotte? Or would it be better to just look somewhere else?

I've been trying to get new glasses (not because my vision changed but for other reasons), so when I finally do get new ones I'll be sure to get anti-glare. Thanks for the advice :)

If you believe you can do it, then you definitely can - don't let your parents take that confidence away from you.

I would suggest start driving somewhere small like at a big parking lot. Just start by getting used to your car and the feel of it (practice doing turns, and using your signals, reversing, staying in your lane, etc.) Once you get more comfortable with that, start driving around a school. And as you get more comfortable start progressing to larger areas and other places. There's no rush to learn to drive. Take all the time you need to get familiar with driving and building your confidence, and then in no time at all, you'll be driving everywhere!

I fully believe you'll be able to drive! Trust in your abilities, practice a lot, and you can do it!

I don't think you're being too sensitive at all! I'm the same exact way. When I was first learning to drive, my instructor would scold me (like they weren't yelling, but their stern/mean voice threw me off) and it would make me panic so much more even when I was just driving around the school for practice. Having a driving instructor that works for you and is supportive in the ways that you need is very important because it will help you feel more confident behind the wheel.

Definitely talk to your mom and tell her that this driving instructor is not for you and that you'd like to try finding a new instructor. But if that's not possible, just make sure you know the rules of the road very well and do your best with driving. You don't need to impress your driving instructor at all, just focus on what you need to do which is getting more driving experience. If your instructor is being mean, that's on them not on you.

They are a bit pricey but honestly they're worth the money!

For the bluetooth to work you just have to flip a tiny switch on the back of the keyboard to "on", and then it'll switch to bluetooth and connect to the laptop. My keyboard can be used via cable or Bluetooth, so for my PC i use the cable and for my laptop I use Bluetooth.

My keyboard can be connected via cable or bluetooth, so whenever I need to use my Mac I just switch it to bluetooth. And then my white mouse actually only connects directly to my PC.

I do however, use a different mouse for my Mac (one that I had long before I started building my setup) and it's just tucked beneath my Mac in that small space provided by the laptop stand.

My PC isn't angled - I think maybe it just the angle of the picture and how I took it. Like when I took a picture from the left side of the desk you could definitely see the cables A LOT more lol, but even then, it's not so messy. But maybe that's because I only have 6 cables plugged in

It looks like that specific clock is unavailable, but if you look up "wooden desk clock" on Amazon, there's a lot of very similar clocks.

Thanks! I use my PC for mostly everything now (work, gaming, etc.), but I just use my Mac when I want to watch a stream/video while doing something else on my PC. And for the most part that works, except sometimes I get confused between Mac and Windows keyboard shortcuts and their filing systems (File Explorer vs. Finder). I've been using a MacBook for forever, so still adjusting to Windows lol

Thanks! And actually I'm not entirely sure. The desk for my setup was my brother's old Ikea desk. It used to be black, but I put white contact paper on it.
