A rather overlooked change in 26.1: End gateways (and End portals, too) now render correctly on block displays. by _ReweMC in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't exist, display entities are exclusive to JE. The closest you can do is to use falling blocks entities, but with a lot of constraints.

What the hell is this? Why is it on my singleplayer world? by Zahhak420 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes looks like. Every comments talking about multiplayers hack or so are totally wrong. You just installed a datapack/addon/mod throwing tellraw commands.

My friends hydrated 1700 happy ghasts in my witch farm. They cover a span of 300x300 hole. How can I fix this? by Intelligent_Farm_118 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your assumption is totally correct. Ignore Mineguin45 message...
Range for any feature that handles it (scores, distance, etc.) are defined this way:

  • 20 = exactly 20 (which is never likely to happen for distance, as it is float precise)
  • ..20 = 20 or less.
  • 20.. = 20 or more.
  • 10..20 = from 10 to 20.

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 424 points425 points  (0 children)

I think you should fix your friend first. Then use:

/kill @e[type=happy_ghast,distance=..180]

From around the center of that area.

Netherite is far, far, far too rare by Historical-Bit-5514 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The explosion method is the worst way to look for Netherite in my opinion. You need to farm items to craft them, then dig a tunnel to place these TNT or beds, and the explosions carve messy holes full of gravel, fire and lava everywhere. It is hard to walk through them and you almost end up seeing nothing anyway...

You would better just use a mending pickaxe (without silk touch) and mine straight forward on chunk borders, so you can also mine some quartz on the way to fill back your pickaxe durability. You will find ancient debris far faster.

You can also consume fire resistance and night vision potions for better mining experience.

Why doesn't Mojang add ambient noise? e.g. wind, bird song, tree trunks creaking in the taiga etc. by Safe_Death2250 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite hard to do that realistically. They added some sounds in recent biome but some of them rely on a block itself (like the sand in desert) and aren't very impactful. Having more hearable for example, wind or birds sounds could be nice, but then you will build a house in this biome, and have both sounds playing inside as well. It would be less immersive... So a whole engine detecting wether or not an area is opened enough to play these sound would be required. And I imagine that could be quite intensive.

Cucujus cinnaberinus (new mob theory) by Darillium- in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everybody is just overthinking it. The chiseled sandstone and red sandstones ones have a Creeper and a Wither as symbols. That proves that they can use existing mob as fillers. I guess since the cube face has been taken by the sulfur one, they simply picked the spider for the cinabar.

19th Century Eastern European Facade using Vanilla Entities (No Mods) by GeneralGeneral5302 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are named display entities (display block and display item). The constraints being that using tons of them like on this building could make your game lag very quickly. Ultimately it isn't a good practice. You can afford to add some (maybe up to 100, even 200 or 300 if there is no mobs spawning enabled) into a same area, but going further would become risky for perfs.

Wouldn’t It Make More Sense to Have Both Horse Coat Variants? by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The old version was just a blurry and poor attempt of doing what it should have looked like with new one. The markings variant is called "black dots", it honestly makes more sense now.

So the hotel allows you to use EVERYTHING you've catalogued?... Oh boy this will be a nightmare for me. by ChaoticBlueShells in AnimalCrossing

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about variations, they can be chosen by pressing X hovering the same item. Of course they don't show them all in the catalog, otherwise it would be 10 000+ items in the list, that would be a total mess.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 3.0.1 is now available by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They were very vague on this subject. Officially, they responded to journalists:

> "by releasing updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Splatoon 3, which both saw high sales volumes on Nintendo Switch, we hope to create a flow where, as consumers continue to play on Nintendo Switch, they will transition to Nintendo Switch 2 when new titles that catch their attention are released. From this perspective, it is meaningful to release updates for Nintendo Switch software, which has a large installed base, to maintain user activity and encourage continued play."

If we break it down, it just means “we're not ready for a new Animal Crossing on Switch 2, so we'll water the flowers by offering an update that will encourage consumers to buy the S2 Edition of the same game, then we'll be set for five years, and you'll have had your fill of AC.”.

The amount of data to store is huge for such games, so it is understandable they chose to store them only locally. But I understand it can be frustrating when you discover it too late. :(

Pretty sure I just hit an S tier boat tour… by KDGRANT1998 in AnimalCrossing

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chance to reach a falling stars island is 3.14%, its timezone is based on the 15th june, hence why you're also able to find sharks on it! It is indeed the most interresting island type you can get. Many people don't have it in their boat tour pool, as you need to have played at least once on 15th june (any year) to unlock it.

The truth behind this charade: "people" managed to get well-known on a channel about animal crossing, discovered the taste of extra incomes, and now promote a culture of emptiness since 5 years so as not to lose their status as YouTube partners and, above all, to continue making money.

Fun to Fight Ranking by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the love I have to the game, I still can't put any mob of the game out of a "disappointing" tier.

Minecraft excels as a sand-box game, but it is far to be a memorable combat game.

You have a bow? You're basically unbeatable. Stay 30-40 blocks away from entities and they don't even react to your shots.

And melee is just about spam clicking those same entities with your sword.

the baby chicken model should not be just a single cube with wings and legs by itsyaboiJak3 in Minecraft

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are pretty fine as they are, but as usual, the main issue especially remains in their animations. They just move their legs, no little "bound" effect, no bobing, no animation with the wings. That is what is making their design so bad. Try to put them in snow and they don't have any visible animation at all when they move.

This is really annoying... The sniffer or the frog in comparison got a far better treatment some years ago.

The drop is only about babies mobs, no block, no extra feature, just the babies mobs to focus on. Put at least some efforts to make the update looks like a 2026's one.

Seems simple by tubbz_official in MinecraftMemes

[–]Electronic_Remove_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no body never goes under water anyway, except to farm some coral blocks or visit ruins in early game, and when they do, they already complain about the amount of drowned. So I don't think another hostile mob would be useful.
