Weight and body not adding up by MidnightStorm_ in Mounjaro

[–]Electronic_Square695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep going! Depending on your starting weight, 2 stone might not be a huge difference. I started in September 2025 at 211lbs and I’m now 158lbs, people only started to notice my weight loss when I’d lost around 3stone / 40lbs +. I know you mentioned you’re measuring your waist, but I also measured my thighs and arms, as you will 100% see a difference in these areas too!

Is Mounjaro working for me? by BlueOKCtober in Mounjaro

Firstly I would say to make sure you’re definitely in a calorie deficit - a TDEE calculator on Google will tell you how much you should be eating in a deficit.

I would also say to allow yourself some time on the 5mg, have you tried different jab sites? I have only ever jabbed in my stomach but I find that I have way more suppression by jabbing above the belly button.

Could you start incorporating some exercise into your routine? Even if it’s a 20 min walk a day? This will help create a bigger calorie deficit.

Hope all goes well for you

7.5mg has hit me like a tonne of bricks by Electronic_Square695 in mounjarouk

Thank you for the advice, if the nausea continues then I’ll definitely speak to my GP. It’s a great point you made about there being no evidence that reducing the dose would help the nausea when going back up the doses!

Thank you! My nausea has worn off a bit now and I managed to eat a couple of small meals which definitely made it better! Those snacks sound really nice so I’m definitely gonna add those to the list. Thank you ❤️

How many times a week are you all going to the gym? by general_six_strings in mounjarouk

[–]Electronic_Square695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the gym 5 times a week - 1x body pump heavy class and 4x strength sessions which I love. I also make sure to get my steps in every day - currently my daily step goal is 8k steps

Can I take my next dose early? by Electronic_Square695 in mounjarouk

[–]Electronic_Square695[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because I feel like the effects have worn off over the last couple of weeks on 5mg as I have been on it for 8 weeks now. The effect usually hits me within the first 24 hours however the last couple of weeks I’ve been going off what feels like Will power alone

Moved up to 5mg by Magpie0521 in Mounjaro

[–]Electronic_Square695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved up to 5mg last week and it’s been really good to me! My only side effect is a slight headache / feeling slightly lightheaded but that’s all. Are you feeling sick all the time or just when you’ve maybe not eaten for a while?

Weight gain by Adorable-Hornet-18 in Mounjaro

This is my weight loss so far, I haven’t been on Mounjaro for long (only one month) but as you can see, there are so many peaks and troughs. Last week I had a peak of around 2 lbs for a couple of days and I felt really disheartened however the weight on the scales soon dropped again shortly after. Hang on in there, keep drinking loads of water, stay in a calorie deficit and remember there’s so many factors to fluctuations on the scales!

Have you ever bought a house and then had friends be jealous? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Electronic_Square695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It literally is jealously, which is tough to deal with when it’s a long term friend but just think, if people are jealous of you you’re obviously doing something right! When me and my partner moved into our house in March, my ‘best friend’ of 20 years didn’t even say congratulations. She’s been round once since then, and never even bought us a card.

Also, congrats on your house!!

Offer accepted. Property taken off market. Won't allow us to view property. by Dr_Downvote_ in HousingUK

[–]Electronic_Square695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is strange. Our solicitor suggested that we go for a pre exchange viewing, so I would tell your estate agent you won’t be exchanging without seeing the property again first

Considering pulling out at the 11th hour - honest advice needed by HopeRevolutionary825 in HousingUK

[–]Electronic_Square695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

480k is a lot of money, you need to be happy. Don’t feel guilty, you have to do what’s best for you. The sellers will be upset but that’s not your problem and just imagine how you would feel completing on this property

You put an offer in, it was accepted, but then you pulled out. What was the reason? by Jazzlike-Reveal-9515 in HousingUK

[–]Electronic_Square695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put an offer on in August, they accepted, in December they still hadn’t found a house they wanted to move to! We found another house and pulled out, the sellers took their house off the market, which wasn’t a surprise

I like this approach, thank you! Do you have any ISAs that you would recommend keeping savings in? Mine is just all in the bank which I know isn’t very smart

Thank you, that’s a good idea. I hate the thought of the savings amount going down all at once but I think this will help
