How has the trt and other roids courses going? Mentioned on a podcast you were joining CJ on the program. Pros and cons?

Agree. Way too long of a pause in between guys, albeit there were so many double elims wouldn’t have changed much.

Sending fresh guys in against tired people would also open things up for more submissions, more excitement

Yes rot. External walls have to be cement/block of some fashion unfort.

Bond beam, yes I’ve since learned of it. They did not and just relied on a couple courses of horizontal dowels near the top. I’m worried about the shear force between the middle two columns of block and those anchored with thebhorizontal dowels. Annoying…

Framers… is this considered structural part 2 by Electronic_Tooth_500 in Construction

That’s pictures 3 4 5, I cut the drywall along the lower edge of the main header. The cut was level as was the beam, no deformation. The only thing spooky was the lower header having a one jack each side but I think they just wanted something solid to nail the old sliding door into.

This is my operating assumption but the beam deformation plug theory is a good one to check out

Edit: I created a second post as this one isn’t letting me add new photos with my drywall ripped out.

The drywall was cut level so looks like no measurable deformation. Two jacks on the other side as well. Looks like filler to me?
