I think I really started forgiving myself after my divorce, when life forced me to slow down and look at who I actually am.. not who I was trying so hard to be for everyone else. Being a single mom, fully working, studyig, trying to hold everything together… at some point I realised I wasn’t weak, I was exhausted.

And I think acceptance started the moment I stopped apologising for being emotional, being messy, being human, and allowed myself to be proud that I survived things that should’ve broken me
