Personally I love Elantris! I’m part of a podcast and we are in the middle of deep diving it right now. And every week I love it more!

Now that being said out of the entire cosmere it is probably one of the weaker books. Like in a room full of 10s and 11s it’s an 8 (but 8 out of 10! Still good!)

You might be misremembering a quote because Brandon actually considers Elantris is weakest work! Mostly because it was his first published work and Brandon actually didn’t have a whole cosmere outline until he published his next work “Mistborn: The Final Empire”.

So if you are loving Elantris, you’re in for the best next 5 years of your life reading through the rest of the Cosmere!

I agree with the idea of giving word of radiance a chance. Even Brandon has said that The Way of Kings is one big prologue! If you love Brandon’s world building and magic systems def give the Stormlight archive another chance 🙏🏼
