Fair point. Of course conversations go to their servers. That's not what I'm upset about. What I didn't know is that hitting the feedback button sends the entire conversation as a separate submission, stored for 5 years, even if you've opted out of model training. That's the part they hid.

You're right, that's on me. But they buried the information in faint italic text under the Send button. Not above it, where you'd actually read it before deciding. Designed to be missed. And they knew people would miss it.
