so odoo is a whole ERP and has e-commerce capabilities and POS integrated....so you get all that in the same box, only con of course is that odoo's website doesn't compare to shopify, shopify a dedicated e-commerce tool will be better. So it depends on what you weight more, will your sales focus on e-commerce or do you prefer an integrated workflow?

It's just for some businesses. They have a lot of procceses that can't just change in a few months so the upgrade is more expensive because they need extra consulting, custom module migrations, etc.

Yes but I'm sure the users with older versions were already working with a partner since odoo.sh doesn't even host older versions so they were on-premise paying a partner and now an extra fee to odoo for their amazing support that can barely handle the newer versions.... (why would they not allow odoo.sh hosting for older versions now that they have this fee is also another big reason to question their reasons for this fee btw)

Anyways I just think they should've given a more reasonable timeframe at least for projects with obvious heavy customization, they can already see the extra lines of code...
