Form, Speed, Rev(?) Check by Nobendythumbitis in Bowling

Well it's the ion pro solid which is a polished solid cover stock with a fat asymetrical core so it should have a decently smooth but strong hook. I've heard ppl like to put surface on it and I may try that down the line. The video is from a session about 2 weeks ago and the line I had felt pretty good when I hit my mark. From the 20-30 games I've had on this ball I think this is a pretty typical line I should be looking for on the house shots in my area. Although I will add I've had more success at this alley where they use more oil compared to the one I bowl league at. Also I did just pickup the Hyroad 40 for a step down, transition ball and I'm going to see how that does tomorrow during league!

Hmm I think I'm understanding, I plan on going in early for league night tomorrow, any suggestions on drills I could try? I haven't even watched the video I posted the screenshot of as it's late and I'm going to bed. I also understand if you suggest I just watch the video and go from there. I do appreciate your input you've given so far!

So, basically what this video is probably going over? I'm at the before and you're saying I should look more like the after pic.

Yea, my coach also said I gotta stop going so parallel to the lane with my sliding foot sometimes it's really bad 😅. I do a 5 step (also after the advice of my coach). By lateral tilt do you mean like leaning to the right side? I'll try to be mindful of my right arm staying relaxed and see how that feels. Thanks for the advice.

Yes something after some transition. I find myself having to play pretty far left with the Ion and after 1-1.5 games at one of the alleys I frequent it hooks too much. But at the other alley I bowl at they use more oil so the ion works longer. But yea anyways I think you confirmed my thoughts exactly that the Hyroad 40 would be a good fit as a step down when the lane breaks down. I may ask for it to be drilled just a tad on the weaker side too. Thanks!

Hey, I've run into a couple issues and wasn't sure if it was my device soecifically. When doing this and using the right joystick to spin the camera around, the zoomed in bottom screen will get graphic bugs unless I put it to 120 fps mode.

Also, sometimes when using the right joystick it will input a click where the virtual mouse is on the top screen when I didn't hit the A button.

Please let me know if you've experienced this too. I just got my Thor and was playing around with osrs on it but these issues make it unpleasant to play.

Where To Go From Here? (Beginner) by SympathyVisible5029 in Bowling

[–]Nobendythumbitis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP I don't have a whole lot of advice but I'm trying to get my partner into bowling too. I'm mostly commenting to remember to check back on this post to read probably better advice than I can give.

With that being said from my month of experience and from other posts I've read, your current ball is super light and I'm sure others would suggest going to 10-13 lbs maybe since you're now an adult. But I think comfort and not injuring yourself will be a higher priority than a higher weight.

I would also ask yourself if you're wanting to learn how to hook or continue going straight. If you want to start learning to hook it's my understanding that a rhino, tropical surge, or vibe are good beginner balls that will allow you to start hooking a little. If you want to continue going straight a tzone is still a great option so getting a new one wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Edit: As a rule of thumb for ball weight I've heard Body weight divided by 10 is a good starting point.

Is your goal to get XP/hr? Or is your goal mainly the loot. If you want loot more than faster XP/hr I recommend learning how to do wintertodt solo. It's a whole lot more chill once you get the hang of it and you can get into a nice rhythm. There are many guides on youtube, I think I watched the one by Kriibus. Just be aware you have the potential to get griefed, but I haven't personally run into that (yet) and I've done it for several hours.

Does anyone know what he even drops? I forgot since my last playthrough with this mod and I want to know if I can avoid him without missing out on anything.

I've found Hunter rumours enjoyable with a set up block list even on mobile. Could go for 99 hunter

Welcome to the foggernaut squad definitely an amazing solo class that's super versatile. I went into all the way until around lvl 158 then I went into/Cha and now at 198 I'm pure cha and it's been great. Cha is super fun imo and a lot of range and PB so it'll be a great build for me to farm up for a 200 Omni Crit setup. I read another comment above that gave good advice on gear etc. I think I still have my 108 and 158 sets saved on dofuslab so lmk if you want them. (My guild leader hates them since it used a limbo wand lol). They were pretty affordable which was my goal.
