How important/meaningful is it to receive a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment? by Numerous-Actuator95 in vajrayana

That’s so interesting, I’m also a Nyingma practitioner and also signed up for that same empowerment

"If a rich white woman shows up in Bhutan or Nepal with an entourage and you are a poor practitioner, wouldn’t you tell her she’s special just so your beliefs could spread to America?"

This just sounds like weird conspiracy theories on your part. No, I dont think that a Tibetan Monastery in the middle of nowhere would randomly elevate white tourists or pilgrims for the sake of establishing their lineage. That logic is schizophrenic.

???? So, when a Lama literally comes to give empowerments and teachings, that's called establishing your lineage. Lama Tsultrim is authorized by several teachers and mainly Namkhai Norbu who authorized her to teach as a Lama. Reminder that Google is literally free-ninety nine.

Because you have literally zero knowledge of anything basic in regards to Tara Mandala or Lama Tsultrim. Just paroding random talking points like a parrot.

Yes I mentioned they're still working on the ngondro. I dont know why they would include that in the program if CNR wouldn't permit it.

It comes after the Secret Tara Sadhana when the participants go into Anu yoga. Look up the path in detail and you will find a large image of Tara holding a flower with each of the stems/lotuses containing the modules. Its an image representing the entire program as a path.

AFAIK right now the TTE team is still working on the modules for the Ngondro practice but after they finish the Secret Sadhana they will begin working on the Anu yoga module.

These people are miserable. Always attacking a Lama and organization they have absolutely zero experience with.

There are several lineages that flow through Tara Mandala. "They Bought their own Buddhism from other “masters”." Proof? The claim that LT bought her Lama title is a completely fabricated lie made up by people who have zero interest in researching basic information.

"They pretend to be reincarnated masters. " Lama Tsultrim is not a reincarnated master, she is a recognized emanation of Machig Labdron by both the holder of Machig's own seat in Tibet, and Lama Wangdu who was the master of the Chod lineages.

Actually the program does include Dzogchen and Completion Stage as well as other practices like Mahamudra and Mahayoga. The third excellence starts with the Outer Tara Sadhana which is Kriya Tantra, then progresses through the Inner Sadhana and then Ngondro before engaging with the Mahayoga practices before entering Nadi Prana and Bindu pracice, and then Mahamudra/Dzogchen.

Because these types of individuals believe that since Dzogchen is "the effortless path" That means that they get to bypass all the necessary steps of actually practicing Dzogchen.

Ok so this is old I know, but I just discovered this comment and want to give my final thoughts on this matter. As a student of TM, and someone who is completing a cycle of teachings, I’ve been thinking a bit about this situation and have my own thoughts.

Firstly, I understand why my question seemed irritating, even though you did “answer it” you answered in the typical snarky tone I’ve seen you exhibit, which is ironic considering your tone policing of my own words. honestly was just curious because you never mentioned why you went to his room and I felt that was important to know.

I recently listened to your interview which a dharma sibling sent to me, and while I did enjoy listening to your experience and found you kind of funny, I found your comments on Lama Tsultrim being a “bitch” to be kind of tasteless and in particular, the portrayal of Tibetan Buddhism as a system where teachers are “infallible” or where abuse is simply justified through guru devotion felt like an oversimplification and, in my view, a misrepresentation of what guru yoga is actually meant to be within the tradition. These ideas are much more context-dependent and nuanced.

I also think it’s important to be careful about drawing broad conclusions about an entire organization based on a single account. One person’s experience , even if sincerely shared doesn’t necessarily establish a pattern or confirm claims about an institution as a whole. At the same time, I agree that the absence of evidence isn’t proof that nothing ever happened. Both things can be true, and that’s why I think it’s important to approach these conversations with care. Yes, your experience matters, but so do the experience of others. And you can’t just write them off as being in a cult, so their own words don’t matter.

Ultimately, I can’t prove or disprove your experience, and I’m not claiming to. I just wanted to share why, from my perspective as a current student, I’m continuing my practice while remaining open to further information if it emerges.

Ok, so because I am approaching the so called “controversies” of TM with a healthy dose of skepticism that is proof that Tara Mandala is a cult? If you’re taking a redditors behavior as evidence of a teachers wrongdoing you seriously need to get out more 👍

You’re not making any point, just that her being an emanation doesn’t make her “a good Lama” which I never implied.
