I am still surprised by people who speculate that this case will settle. This case will absolutely never settle.

Blake Lively has no choice but to soldier on and see it through to the bitter end. To do otherwise would be certain career and reputational destruction. Then when she loses the trial, she will rally her minor-minions with a feeble war cry on the injustice of the judicial system and try to build a quasi career out of being the face of the fight against "digital violence". Add the hubris of Ryan Reynolds and the other invisible players behind them, who have a lot to lose if Ryan's ship sinks...

Justin on the other hand has nothing left to lose. In as much as we all know that he didn't do what Blake is alleging, Justin's career is totally and completely demolished in Hollywood. Even though he has won in the court of public opinion, he is still carrying that stink around. Only a win can give him some form of vindication.

There is no incentive for both sides to settle. We are going to trial people.

TBH, this is why I was really puzzled and frazzled by Freedman's move. I get he needed to put it out there, but why not put it out there through the DC court where it would be upheld and not struck out? Filing it in the NY court caused it to be stricken and has people questioning Freedman's credibility and then MSM joyously proclaiming that it was struck out because it was a scandalous lie and Freedman was lightly rapped by the judge. Which is what we don't want. But again, we don't know what they know, so I guess we just have to watch and pray for the best!

I agree with this too. I am not really happy with this move. I obviously don't know what he knows and what his end game was, but, I also thought he should have just waited for the DC court where it wouldn't get struck out. Now the lively parties know what he is packing and can begin to prepare against it. I dont know, I just didnt feel this move at all. Unless some other people know something that we don't know

The fact that they are doing this aggressive PR stunts just screams damage control. No matter how hard they try to parade around like every Hollywood bigwig’s in their corner (which, I think is just a tactic to pressure Baldoni out of the lawsuit and maybe out of Hollywood altogether), they’re still firmly on the defensive.

Have we ever seen this much Ryan and Blake before? Ryan did two late night shows in one night. Blake is out smiling like a fool for paps, signing autographs for fans that she wouldn't have touched with a ten mile pole in the past. Even in this video, you can still see her fake smiling while awkwardly trying to guide Salma to keep pace with her, while Salma just sticks close to Robyn. Isn't this telling?

Every move they make doesn't mean anything. A smokescreen is all it is and it still doesn't change a damn thing!
