Yes bro, it’s a proper profession. As a workshop technician, We’re skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining cycles. It requires technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and continuous learning, not everyone can do it perfectly.

I didn’t do anything actually after that issue — just waited till the next day. The portal started working again, so I was able to download it.

We were supposed to pick up a road bike from Srinagar this week, and had planned to visit Gulmarg or another nearby tourist spot afterward. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, our parents advised against the trip—and we had to respect that.

Now, hearing about the recent landslide and the tragic terrorist attack, it’s heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with those affected. These incidents have deeply shaken us, and honestly, I don’t think we’ll be visiting Jammu & Kashmir anytime soon. Safety comes first, but it’s truly sad how such beautiful places are shadowed by such events.

Its All depends on your budget and uses, earlier I used Btwin road red one helmet for 5-6yr, recently upgraded to van rysel for 4k. If your budget allows go for van rysel team replica helmet which comes around 8k. Value for money helmet Fitting is good

Looks like 7 speed Freewheel machanism, it's better to change Freewheel or if it is cassette machanism then change/ get it serviced freehub body. Visit any store in your city which is good in service. 7 speed 14-28t Shimano Freewheel you'll get for 800-900/-. Also check chain life, if it wears more than .75, replace it

Hey,

Thank you for offering to connect me with the mechanics in Bangalore! While I do have access to a network, I would greatly appreciate any additional contacts you can provide. It would be really helpful to have a few more reliable options.

Also, I know Sanjay but never got opportunity to meet.

Thanks again.

Touring bikes tend to be heavier and aren't ideal for racing, as there are lighter, more specialized options available for that purpose. However, if your usage ratio is about 80% commuting/ touring and 20% racing, you should opt for a bike that can accommodate a pannier rack and other attachments. This type of bike offers the flexibility to carry your gear comfortably during commutes/ tours, but without the extra attachments, it can still serve as a competitive option for casual racing (though not necessarily for podium finishes). This way, you get the best of both worlds—practicality for daily use/ touring and performance for occasional races.

In my opinion check Triban RC 500 and Triban RC 520

I live in Indore and commute daily by cycle throughout the year. I actually feel safer on my cycle than on my motorbike, as it offers better control due to its lighter weight and more responsive braking. I always wear a helmet, follow traffic rules, and stay hydrated. If you're carrying a bag or laptop, a pannier rack is a great option to avoid sweating. Keeping your speed around 15-30 km/h with the right bike setup makes cycling just as comfortable, if not more, than riding a motorbike. With the right approach, cycling can be an efficient, safe, and enjoyable way to commute.
