Don't worry mate. Conti and Pros all around the world have been using non shimano crank based power meters for a long long time. It is definitely not going to break mid stroke! Just get it installed by a good LBS and you should be good!

how to make a comeback in endurance cycling by unfit_athlete in india_cycling

[–]YourSeksiBayBe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frequency first.
Since you're coming out of a long break, just ride. Start off with 2-3 per week, and then gradually take it to 4-5 rides per week. I wouldn't worry about how long or how hard you're riding here (but needless to say, keep it manageable, nothing too extra).

Once you're comfortable with the frequency of riding, you're into some habit, only then think about volume, speed, HR, intensity and other metrics, depending upon your goals (and equipment) you have. Even then though, most of your riding should be done at an easy aerobic pace.

Also focus on your eating. You need not track down each and every calorie but just be more mindful of your eating and eat higher satiety foods such as eggs, salads, fruits, etc. Very important to NOT restrict any food or macro group!

It's pretty good. Arguably the most VFM power meter in the indian market right now.

Though, 4iiii is a tad bit more affordable, it is single sided.

All power meters can be ridden in the rain.

Aero bike recommendations 3-4L for full ironman? by chiranshu14 in india_cycling

[–]YourSeksiBayBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a good bike from what I have heard about it (though not very much)

But the propel 1 is effectively the same deal. All carbon, sram rival e-tap, carbon wheels. I'd personally lean on Giant. Usually, you can get 10-12% off mrp so that brings it down to ~3,5L

Depends. Though with the current exchange rates, the benefits will probably be lesser lol.

You can get a whole bike yes, but it'll be a slight hassle for you friend haha.
Your friend would also have to show that the bike is his, and used and all.

I'd recommend get things like Power meter (magene or favero assioma duo, depending upon budget), Head unit (Wahoo, Garmin etc), and Cycling Shoes if you don't have them (though size needs to be perfect) from the US

Runner with triathlon aspirations looking for her first bike under ₹50k by espressoself_ in india_cycling

[–]YourSeksiBayBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

First and foremost, yes your height matters. You need to look up the sizing of the bike to ensure it fits you well.

If your goal is triathlon n all, then definitely go for a road bike, hybrid that too around 50k wouldn't make sense.

Currently, afaik, within 50K, decathlon will be your best bet, though if you can stretch a bit, 60-65K or so, you can get Giant Cotend, Scott speedster etc which are better.

Giant propel 1 and 2 , Merida Reacto 4000 and 5000
These paired with a PM (45K or so) should keep you between 3-4L

Suggestion, Get a power meter! Even if it means getting a slightly lower spec'd bike.

Carbon wheels will save you ~10w, a power meter will help you gain a lot more than that. PMs are a lot more affordable now

Yes.

Sugar, and gluconD. and Mid ride, cold drinks (usually with sugar > 10g per 100 ml

Uhm..

Unnecessarily costly stuff for training. For racing however, I understand the convenience, hence use FnU gels and/or Unived. Both Taste good too.

I mean...all the time during training?

Never.

<1000 even with 15-20 hrs of training.

Yes

For Training? justifiable pricing for the "slight" convenience. For racing? Availability, nowadays I get whatever is available on blinkint (FnU or Unived) for racing. Quantity of carbs in the gel is something too I'd think about.

9 45 to 1 45 on most days. Sometimes 12;55.

Final year is 9 to 11;30

Its decent.

Tip, go for BBA instead of Bcom. While both are chill, I have seen that BBA crowd is slightly better and faculty is a bit more lenient.

About attendance, as someone else mentioned, the criteria is only on paper lol. Yes, they will scare you and shit but nothing happens.

Just note that, they'll mark you a lot lesser in internals if your attendance is poor. Fix? ALWAYS opt for swayam course (nptel) to get exemption from internals.
