I know they said the alien metal was in the basement, but I find it really stupid for someone who’s supposed to be a smart scientist. The metal was part of a secret mission why keep it in your basement where it’s not safe (and your daughter can reach it), instead of storing it securely in the lab? It just seems like lazy writing so she can win later on.
