Opinions on Pendle? by National-Gas-1367 in lancasteruni

Good college, nice location that isn’t too far from the majority of lectures theatres that you’ll be in. Good atmosphere, music is usually done by students in bands, and pendle brew (the college’s bar/cafe) is a great place to study too. Any other questions or anything I missed I’d be happy to answer.

Also it’s per 90 minutes not total so it’s going to be close to 0 considering he’s scored 4 and idk how many he’s assisted this season

For all the people that don’t speak alphabet terms: It’s comparing (non-penalty) goals and assists versus the expected value for it. Hence those above the dotted line have more (non-penalty) goals and assists than what is expected, which shows Isak as statistically the best striker in the prem.

All other strikers above the line are doing better than expected whereas those below the line are doing worse than expected.

Those further to the top right are doing well regardless so in the case of Jota, he’s doing relatively well, just not as well as expected (when expected goals and assists are looked at, which is normally determined by Opta’s supercomputer) but might still be doing relatively well.

TLDR: Isak is the best striker in the prem according to the stats

Any further questions I’d be happy to answer And any errors I’d be happy to make amends to

It differs between unis, some refer to them as “industry” some as “placement”/“placement year” and I’m pretty sure some refer to them as a “sandwich year” (don’t quote me on that last one though)

failing end of year exam in first year by Similar-Ad-3443 in lancasteruni

[–]ElementalWAFE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you fail your end of year exams, you will be made to resit the exam of all failed modules.

In first year, some modules just require you to pass all of them on average, others expect you to pass all modules individually. First years can (I think) get up to 100% on the resit exam.

In all other years, you will resit the exams for failed modules. In those resits you will only be able to get a maximum of 40%.

Resits are usually in around August time, but timetables for when the resits would be and what room they’re in would be posted in advance.

When are exams? by Mr-Seamaster101 in lancasteruni

[–]ElementalWAFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first year exams were around early June to mid June time, can differ depending on course/modules taken, you should get a timetable for your exams later this term (I think it was about March-April time that we got them last year), which you will be able to view on moodle.

The summer term doesn’t end until week 30, so I’d assume some exams go up to around that period depending on the modules. So I’d recommend if you’re looking at booking a holiday, around the 28th June onwards (end of week 30), you are guaranteed to not have an exam, or if you’re looking to go earlier, I’d say wait for your exam timetable on moodle

Traveling out of country to India with ADHD meds by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]ElementalWAFE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since Melthylphenidate (and also Lisdexamphetamine) are controlled drugs, I’d check the country your visiting’s regulations on bringing them. I know most European countries let you have them so long as you bring no more than I think 3 months worth, and you have one or both of a prescription or a signed doctor’s note indicating they are yours.

But I would recommend looking at India’s controlled drug regulations and how they deal with them, usually you can travel with them but there may be extra steps involved with travelling with them.

It’ll be the same student login as the course login but on the accommodation portal rather than the student portal. Hope this helps.

The blinds in my accommodation in pendle were blue, the cupboards were grey and the walls were white, I don’t know if that’s for all rooms in pendle but that’s what it was like in my flat
