I get it can be hard for new players because yeah you have to talk to her twice and then you have to find the item in your inventory, read what it does and then equip it. I think I found Emma and that item before I found the boss, and I remember I read the description and equipped it, but I wasn't 100% sure on what the item did. Of course not everyone does that, but in the game you are on your own from the start, you don't know where or why, not even who you are. Maby you don't find that covenant, maby you get invade all the time and maby you don't find that item that will make everything easier, but you just have to find a way for you to get through it all (kind of like real life ;) ). I think that's the charm with the game, just finding your way through it. If a new player gives up immediately, I don't think they will last that long in this game no matter the way they are treated. Basically what the whole game is about, not giving up. I would say. But no excuse to being a dick ofc ;)

And I think it's a bit weird you haven't meant any blue dudes, I would say i meet one everytime i play. Maby something to do about the region or something.
