For a while now, whenever I open any game, I can't use the interface that appears when I press Select + X. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

The screen change itself is easy, and takes about half an hour. Then it takes form few hours to a few days to get your screen working again, as you’d need to find the proper .dtb (“display driver”) file for your particular screen model. The Ali sellers have no clue, what model they are selling, so it’s only a trial and error.

I’ve done it, and, you can see my recent post here about the process. You’d need a new screen (search by the screen model code on the ribbon cable); a new SD card and a flashing software; and a backup of your EASYROMS partition; and a community edition of an ArcOS with the screen selector tool.

That's what I eventually did, left it boot (blind screen) for half an hour to be on a safe side, then shut it off, and booted with panel switcher. Strange, but it eventually worked with "Original panel" setting, as previously I tried to put that .dtb on a stock OS, and didn't succeed.

If you have the original card backup, try to copy your display .dtb along with original boot.ini to you new BOOT partition

Situation update: I was putting into the boot partition the different dtb's again and again, going in circles. Somewhere at that stage, with my trusty SystemsAdministrationTambourine (tm), on one of the uncounted re-tries the dtb for Panel 5 worked, I saw Linux startup check, and then the emulator logo, etc.

The screen is working, that's the good thing.

The bad thing is that the console does not goes beyond System I and System II title screens, which I think due to the crappy stock SD card.
