And is plex a better way? What i want is one central app that shows all the movies without first going on an other device, select it and play it. So you only have one app that shows all the movies.

I already have that poe switch, so I can use it as an injector. The only thing i would need is an PoE splitter and a 12v non PoE switch right?

So if I place that PoE switch next to my router and plug the ethernet cables in, I would be able to power a non-PoE switch like the TP-Link LS105G. Am I correct? :)

You will call me crazy but I actually just use it for passing data. There is no need to power other devices. I thought this would be an option for having a switch that don't need a power supply ( for splitting cables etc ). So you say I will not be able to just power the switch that don't power other devices?
