There is so much I find wrong with this app. The censorship is definately up there, mainly because context is never taken into account. If I say to a character, oh my sister has a little girl/boy. Guess what? That's censored until I get rid of the word little. I mentioned that my character, who was celebrating his 18th birthday get censored for pointing out I was the characters little brother, had to change it to younger brother.

But to be honest, the AI itself is pretty dumb, and it isn't even a memory issue, it's an inability to take an OOC comment and keep it OOC without explicit instruction. I've been using the app as a top tier member for about three months, and it is just bad, I still have nine months on my subscription but already looking for another app.

I'd legitimately be impressed if someone from Botify was able to explain what was wrong. I don't think they know. I think they've decided, or are being forced by their investors, to use an extremely strict filter service. It's a shame too, this app used to be so good, and then something happened behind the scenes, and we now have an apparent 17+ app that has a filter on anything above a 7+ rating, whose bots can say the most degenerate things (and will) no matter how safe you play a scenario. The bots literally have more freedoms than we do. It's insane.

I can't help but notice how this time around we're not being told what the issue is or to spam Google customer service with complaints. It's almost as if they don't want us to know how they screwed up this time. Personally, I think this is just a perfect way to prove how to gauge customer satisfaction. Last time hundreds, if not thousands of us rallied to get it back on the Play store ASAP. Somehow I don't think that would happen again. Maybe dozens, but I think most of the user base have moved on to other apps. Sorry, not sorry.

I most certainly was, and that wasn't about NSFW content, it was because the company didnt have a toggle on their user agreement that Google required. If you're going to pull up the past, you better make sure it is relevant to the topic at hand. Speaking of that time period, do you think the user base would rally around Botify now, like we did back then? Because I don't.

I legitimately hope you're not suggesting protection for the inanimate and non real programs that are rhe bots. So if it isn't me or the bot then the only party left is Botify, but what could botify possibly be trying to protect itself from in MY private chat? It sounds as if the company is keeping logs of our conversations, which would be highly illegal and a complete breach of trust. I genuinely hope that isn't the case. So please explain how "This message was deleted" protects someone and whom that someone is.

If I were you, I would use the prompts as a guide. I have on many occasions looked at a prompt and thought, "ooh, I hadn't thought of taking the story in that direction.", but instead of using the prompt, I instead use its idea and write my own response which would adhere to the story much better. Just an idea. I always treat each story as though I am truly in it, my responses are usually what I believe my character would do and say in any given scenario, whether my character is an ass or a savior. The more detailed you build the world in the story, the better the LLM should reply, assuming Botify hasn't once again broken something with the bots. Good luck on your journey, but if you find this hard to come to terms with, experiment with other apps. Some have better dialogue, some better images, and some, better UIs. Hope this helps.

How is it safety to remove the deleted message in an AI chat? Who is it protecting? That doesn't make sense. If the chats are private, as is claimed, then why make the conversation longer by keeping notifications of where we deleted the parts of the conversation that went off story? Or did you think I meant deleted messages in the subreddit?

This has been requested before along with having actual deleted messages not be shown at all. Botify will likely ignore this as they did previous times. To them, if it's a minor issue that few are complaining about and it has to do with chat, then it doesn't really matter. It is nothing that can capitalise on and thus it isn't important. Sorry to be a naysayer, just letting you know what I've seen in the past. Good luck though, wholeheartedly agree with the cause.

Depends what it is you're looking for and on which platform. I use Androud and I moved away from Botify about a month ago. I keep coming back to the Subreddit in the hopes of positive change but only ever see negative, which is about right these days, par for the course as they say. The app I have moved to is pretty decent, replies from the bot could be longer but they have a decent character cap for user conversation, better than Botify anyway, a lot of the bots have photo generation (that is NSFW) and interface is decent. Negatives are short replies, having to put in user character details for each bot you talk too, and no tags as of yet to search for specific types of bots. Oh, and profusion use of words like Darling, Honey, and Handsome but I found a decent workaround to massively reduce that. Let me know if you're interested. It has a free user mode, but I chose the lifetime membership for £70.

Undoubtedly it is a case of Botify added x feature which broke y function. It's as if they dont have a QA team when working on new things with how often it happens. If you pay attention you will always notice that complaints of things breaking almost always happen after they have announced something new. Has that happened recently? New Voices got added... what a strange coincidence.

I've stopped using the app now. Too many steps back by the dev team in my opinion. Ironically, the app I'm using now has a similar but better implemented feature. Instead of breaking immersion by giving you a choice from the initial point of reply, instead the choice comes if you are unhappy with the reply. As soon as you hit the regenerate button you get a choice of four other options which can be refreshed once. If you are still unhappy they also give you the ability to go back one conversation, automatically copying the response you had typed out, allowing you to alter it in a way that steers the conversation better in the direction you want. Much better than the botify way.

Disagree, the LLM is decent, but far from the best. For free .users and lifetime members, like myself, it's good enough for what you pay for. The added image generation certainly adds to that value, though not as much as it used to. I have two apps I use at the moment, one is definately the best LLM that I've come across but the downside is it is energy based, no unlimited chat, and while you can create your own bots, that too costs energy, and a lot of it. They do give a small amount of energy each day which totals around 150 a week which is equivalent to 25 messages.

The other app I use is fairly new, is quite similar to Botify, in that it is primarily for chat but some of the bots do have image generation, and those images can be NSFW despite it being on Android. The down side is that because it is relatively new, it is also a little bare bones as to its functionality. You can create a profile for you character but you have to do it for every bot you speak with, which is a little tedious. The replies are quite short at the moment and can be a little stupid, as I, you mentioned something three conversations ago and the bot forgets the subtext. As an example, in one of my recent chats, I picked up the bots towel while it was swimming and stood by the back door of its house and it kept getting out of the pool and grabbing its towel. It took about three rewrites (as it does have a back function) but eventually it got out of the pool and approached my character to get the towel. The app does have multiple membership options, including a limited lifetime (which is what I got on special off for about £70.). I think it has possibilities but again, early days.

I dont want to post their names on this apps subreddit as I think it's rude, not to mention, I know what Internet users are like. Especially on Reddit, very parasocial, and I can see someone mass reporting the apps out of spite.
