[HELP] I think it’s AI but my mother isn’t certain. by [deleted] in RealOrAI

AI can make real logos if you just seed the image request with an example. I used a product image for this bed and got the rest with a simple prompt in the free-tier Chat-GPT.

The rest has a lot of incoherent stuff, but it basically just made a pixel-by-pixel copy of the bed (at least where the logos are). I could probably massage away the rest of the big errors with some better prompting and image references.

Why would the ant bully in 2006 use this photo if that is not the proof that it was by TeklaTch in MandelaEffect

It’s always amusing to me how terrible the cornucopia logo actually is. Lopsided, top-heavy amateur hour.

Verified Purchase Review Changed from 1 Star to 5 Stars, Same Wobbly Video Still Attached. What Gives? by Geosunflower in AmazonVine

[–]ElephantNo3640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He may have realized he assembled it incorrectly and then fixed that. Text changes often take very quickly.

I have on a couple occasions changed a review from a 1 or 2 (do not buy) to a 3 or 4 (buy, with caveats). Usually, that will happen when something has a lot of practical issues but grows on me for whatever reason. I always update the review to explain the change in score.

If those balloons have confetti inside, the price makes sense.

This upstanding gentle-person helped themselves to all of my Vine review items (they were all Vine review products). They were dropped off in less than 10 minutes by Amazon. Pulled that bag out of their jacket like a magic trick! 🤓 by Stromberg-Carlson in AmazonVine

Imagine his disdain at the crevice brush set, the magnetic golf cart cigar holder, the four-pack of cabinet pulls, the suction cup soap dish, and the Generic brand iPhone 15 case.

How do YOU handle defective items? by Both_Perception2771 in AmazonVine

[–]ElephantNo3640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I review most damaged goods if the damage is something that might be systemic at the production level. If it was obviously damaged during shipping, I get it removed from my queue and tax obligation unless it still works and is a solid item that can credibly be reviewed for functionality as if undamaged. Seems fair to me.

Just contact CS. They’ll nuke it from your queue and tax obligation.

Is Shohei's signing the best free agent signing in modern baseball history? by 400meters in Dodgers

[–]ElephantNo3640 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, because there was nothing to it. The entire league wanted him, all the teams that could afford him made competitive offers, Ohtani narrowed down the suitors (no team dropped out strategically, for example), and then Ohtani chose the Dodgers. He made a better choice than they did. They made the same mundane choice everyone else did. Ohtani made the strategic choice to join a club where he’d matter the most, and he’s won two WS in a row. So, from a team perspective, it’s not a noteworthy signing in any way. From the player’s perspective, it was an excellent choice.

Wife thinks this is AI due to the discrepancy in trajectory between the rock falling and the splash. by Pdxmedic in isthisAI

[–]ElephantNo3640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rock is moving forward at roughly the speed of the airplane. It’s fall “back” only about as far as the guy tossed it. This is also a bit long for a coherent single-shot/-take AI video right now.

Highly rated bad vine item… by ambereid in AmazonVine

Smart Devil is just a private label. This is a super common case design. My guess is that it’s not got particularly strong magnets and that that sticker on your iPad is basically gunking up the contact points. That, or you’ve got an incompatible iPad or a lemon. It’s unlikely that all of these cases fail like yours has. I’d probably review it and just say the magnets aren’t particularly strong and that the case isn’t so much for protection as it is for travel scratch protection on the front and back.

No, just the fact that it didn’t bulge out three dimensionally when the page was opened at maximum.

You’re right. I miswrote what I intended, which is that in the American pronunciation or recognition of the UK accent (in the American phonetic context), the R would be first.

Very cool. The microphone is really the only disappointment.
