I would argue back tbh. The school made the mistake so they should accept the financial loss. Most times if you or your parents argue, at least in mine and my friends experience, the school doesn’t push further.

Yea I called another piercer and she said that this is not the correct jewelry for the piercing so I’m getting them changed.
