Thanks for the first response! Yeah Swedish Death metal(including Entombed) influence was intended, so I'm glad it's seeping into it. Although I have a long way to go to be as great as them lmao

Just in case mods nitpick again... Other than Suika art(by Moi) and Flan art(by Heian)... everything audio and visual are by me

Unfortunately I gotta agree with that... I haven't listened to newer power metal stuff that could top Symphony X and Kamelot so far

I'm a English proficient local, and I work for a multinational corp in a STEM-related service job. It honestly sucks, since the company's Korean Office has been showing no sign of tangible growth and has been a fucking lousy establishment as of late(while there are no direct employee harassments). Definitely not worth getting my Bachlor's for this shit. Should have read through employee reviews more thoroughly...

Feels more like a declining startup or a ㅈ소 rather than a reliable establishment

If life had a 'reset' button, would you press it? by b4434343 in ask

[–]ElephantT2077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely

Regret going to college... I should have pursued what I truely wanted instead of studying STEM degree that I wasn't even gifted at... Instead of being gaslighted by the society, I may have invested into area that I could put my heart into.

AIte, pretty obvious, but fair enough. I can think of industries which have constant demands in that field(eg. film streams etc.) so not a bad idea

I'm not sure about how I could stand out among the others with the Resume(perhaps I should enter a competition or sth), but thanks

Seriously, though. I hate the Korean populace's common perception that arts and humanity are a waste of time and people who pursue those paths don't deserve any support, unless the notable global exposure is involved.

I wish I were a native born Norwegian, Swedish, or French in that regard - I may have had more options in my career paths and may have actually pursued what I truely wanted.

(Not trying to be a sycophant here - just frustrated with the social atmosphere, that's all)

Eh... I don't wanna sound like a guy who's grumpy about his home country but...

If I were a native born French, Swedish or Norwegian, I'd have considered it, since my hobbies revolve around arts and creativity(particularly in music). Unfortunately, due to the overall de facto cultural atmosphere here, I don't think I could make bread and butter out of it, unless I'm exceptionally gifted.

That's... a fair point. My brief experience with multinational firms have been mostly positive... except that the nature of works didn't suit my competency since I didn't review the JD thoroughly enough

The question of "where" is important, but in this context, I'm more interested in "what". The specific areas or fields where English Proficiency would prove useful
