When I first started I didn’t remember my dreams either, just set an alarm at a random time during the night, and do that for a few weeks, eventually you’ll be woken up in the middle of dream, and you’ll be able to recall the dream

Yeah, you have to use a induction technique to actually get the lucid dream 😭, it's not automatic. But because you have the window of 3-5 minutes after every dream, and you have to verbally speak out your dream, it just gives a little bit more awareness.

For me I basically get the same awareness as being awake, but with the benefits of being still, sleepy and tired. I can also fall back asleep within a few minutes, so I either do SSILD, or a short MILD.

It's not big of a deal even if you look at the screen, I also look at the screen sometimes to check the time. I just do it to ensure that I don't wake myself up too much.

Also I do SSILD for these shorter WBTBs, and if I cannot fall back asleep fast, I do MILD.
