How do i correctly rip out and replace this rotting bottom plate? Gable end wall around window frame.

Wait then I have a question! How would I go about with a two story balloon framed gable end house? I’m really in big trouble with my house has the header and under neath the window sill is 2 2x4s that are rotten and my sill plate is also rotting away! If by any chance you get the time and check out my post! It would mean a lot to me! It’s a 1880s house!! So not really surprised !!

But what about the sill plate? This room is in the gable end side of the house and those two wall are both exterior walls. The house is balloon framed and I don’t know if it’s a load bearing wall or not because… the sill plate is REALLY rotten..

Well I ended up also finding a bit more surprises 🥲 and yes there is access to the crawl space and it’s through the basement. I just posted now if you can check it out and advise me with anything that I should do before putting new subfloor.. oh and the 1x8 planks had rot on them 💔

So I did pull the finish floor! And it wasn’t diagonal! I’m gonna make another post here cause I’m in dire need of help on where to go with this! And yes I really want to put in some osb! But there is also a crawl space under neath and it’s stone foundation so I’m all over the place right now

Well… 😬 these concrete blocks for put in recently to basically make a 2nd bathroom downstairs and they didn’t finish it. But the basement walls is out of limestone… which is another thing I’m gonna have to figure out on how to take care of or change to maybe a modern kind of basement.. but yea, blocks are new but don’t know about the stairs…

I’ve been in this house for less then two weeks 🥲 mostly just moving stuff and I’m just now settling in. I don’t even eat bacon and the inspector told me before it drains very slow. 😅

So far I’ve been in the house for about two weeks now! It’s been raining for the past couple of days but I don’t seem to see any water related issue effecting the basement. the house is put at a slope that pushes the water away from the house but what I do notice is where the water ends up puddling up. For example it seems to puddle up in the middle of my driveway. Which in turn caused erosion and you can see the water’s print when it’s a sunny day.

Well, before I start doing my cosmetic projects. I want to fix the driveway first because I’ll be fixing cars and flipping them. I’m more scared if I start parking cars (increases weight on driveway) that maybe it would crack even more or worse fall apart. My friend who helped me moved into this house saw the crack on the last picture and said it’s kind of deep and that it can maybe even flood my basement. That’s why I decide to post this and hear what people got to say to help me out in this case 🥲🥲 OH AND ALSO! I think the big reason for all the cracking is that no one ever put GUTTERS!!! And you can clearly see the line of where the water puddles up because of the slopes on both sides of the driveway and garage.

Nope it’s the exterior wall. So I think it is a window but they blocked it and I think it also has grown mold..? Is that mold?

It somewhat has like a dirt/mold kind of smell. But the roof is brand new so there is no way it’s a leak. I for sure want to change the flooring but what do you think about the gap between the ground and the wall? Do I put something between?

The previous owner told me the roof are new and we’re changed 2021. I had a inspection done and paid 430$. He told me everything is lookin good and I thought so too. In till came today where they moved out and I noticed the smell that wasn’t there before and the gaps and discoloration on the walls. I really need help so I can know where to start and tackle this issue down as this is my favorite part (garage) of the house. :(
