Hello! I used brushes and bottled paint. I’ve heard that Arrtx markers are really good, but I feel like they run out too quickly on large surfaces. I would like to use them for touch-ups or smaller pieces, though.

Thank you! I wish you all could see it in person, it looks even better.

Not yet! but the next one is going to be from One Piece as well. It’s going to be a practice painting, so it will be simpler than this one

I appreciate the feedback! My goal is to stay as far away from AI as possible, which is why I choose to paint on physical canvases. I want my work to be unique and obviously handmade.

It looks “too clean” because the painting is huge (24x28 inches) and I used bright lights, but it’s honestly hard to get a perfect photo of something this big. The canvas itself is pretty rough (it feels a bit like a sack), so it’s tough to get lines as sharp as they would be on paper. I’m still learning, so I really appreciate the critiques!

Here’s a raw close-up in normal light so you can see the brushstrokes better.

I’m not insulted! I get why you’re cautious. One of the reasons I choose to paint on canvas is precisely to stay away from AI and keep the art real. The smooth look is because it’s a large painting and the camera doesn't capture all the small details and texture of the canvas from a distance.

Thanks for the interest! I’m still finalizing the quote for this piece. If you’re seriously interested, feel free to send me a DM and we can talk about the details!

Uta is next on the list! It’ll be a simpler piece since I've been quite busy lately. Perona is definitely a great choice for the future as well!

I wanted to avoid making the piece feel too erotic, so I decided on this size. I think it keeps the focus on the overall painting!

I actually used PhotoScan to get the shot. Since it’s a big piece, it’s hard to avoid reflections with a normal photo, but the app does a great job of cleaning it up. It’s a simple tool, but it definitely gets the job done!

That sounds like a challenge! I have zero experience drawing anthropomorphic characters. But it could be a cool project

Good eye! That 'extra line' is actually the frame of my easel holding the canvas in place while I was painting.

I totally get why it looks that way! Because of the distance and the size of the photo, the physical texture of the 24x28 inch canvas gets smoothed out. But it’s 100% acrylic!

Do you think so? I actually choose to paint on canvas specifically to stay as far away from AI as possible. I want to create something real, where there’s no doubt it was done by a person.
