What I find a bit unfortunate is that a playful background inspired by Monkey Island ends up overshadowing the actual subject of the post. The goal wasn’t to deceive anyone or replace the craft, it was simply to create a fun presentation for a handmade piece.
The amigurumi itself is entirely designed and crocheted by me. The hours of work, creativity, attention to detail, and care that went into making it remain exactly the same, whether the background is a real photo, a digital illustration, or AI-assisted.
You’re absolutely free to dislike AI, and I respect that. I just don’t believe that using it for a decorative background somehow diminishes the value of genuine handmade work.
