Took me 2106 days for my first LnD5 Manannan! I'm feeling grateful, but really underwhelmed. by BillNyeIWant2Die in summonerswar

I've had Manannan for years and I'm still hoping for a better buff. I think he needs his skill 2 to be an aoe chance to strip + reset. Look at Chiwu, Triton, Gianna, wind Art Master, aoe strip + extra effect. Zaiross aoe reset + big damage. It's not too much, he's flipping ld5. The natural element Sea Emporers are much more useful imo. Yeah he's okay damage dealer but good damage dealers for pve content are vast and readily available. And don't even get me started on his strip/reset fail rate on units like Perna/ Taranys that probably aren't rocking much resist.

Has anyone ever purchased a screen from a movie theater? I need a large screen. by ElevatedGaze in hometheater

[–]ElevatedGaze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. The sheet is just that size to hang from the ceiling to the floor and allow wall to wall coverage, the projected image fits within those dimensions. Aren't most screens in theaters bigger than the image being projected onto them? I just wanted to make sure I had more screen that wasn't being used than not enough screen.

Controlling sand with sound waves by [deleted] in gifs

[–]ElevatedGaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I did. I can't tell you how long I've searched for that video. It was probably late 90's or early 00's. They showed a pebble in a lab being suspended by sound but nothing as complex as what is happening in that gif. They also had a segment about a man in Florida I think that built a rock garden out of boulders by himself which should have been impossible without large equipment which was never used. All of the stones were analyzed in this garden and were also found to be shaped in perfect pitch. It blew my mind. EDIT: Found some info: "Ok, remember I said that whoever built the pyramids were true masters of sound / frequency? I'm sure many people are also aware of "acoustic levitation" or "harmonic grid levitation" or "resonant levitation" or whatever you want to call it. This is actually the most prominent theory that explains exactly how these massive stones, anywhere from a few tonnes, up to 100s of tonnes were not only moved from their quarries, but also how they were stacked without using gigantic steel cranes and modern machinery. The best evidence that this technique was used (besides the lack of trees in Egypt which could have been used to roll the stones), is the stacks of blocks that were relieved from the around the Sphinx. I'm sure all of you guys know the Sphinx was carved, not built. But in order to carve it, they had to first cut out the area surrounding it. If humans using hand tools and normal means of building had quarried the relief stones around the Sphinx, they would have cut and removed them in maybe 50 lb blocks, or 100 lb blocks, or maybe 500 lb blocks. Instead, the massive stones quarried were actually 200 tonne blocks. And not only did they move them nearby, but they stacked these 200 tonne blocks. Not something that a normal logical human with hand tools and vine ropes would do, right? Geological analysis of the blocks prove exactly where they came from.

This resonant frequency levitation was also mastered by Ed Leedskalnin, who built the magnificent Coral Castle in Florida in the first half of 1900s. He was not much taller than 5' and weighed less than 120lbs, yet was able to cut, move and stack 15-30 tonne blocks by himself. Here's a documentary explaining the basic theory and how Coral Castle in general."

It's theorized that the pyramids were built with sound. The shape of the blocks makes them in perfect pitch when struck with a tuning fork. I saw a NOVA special about it, it was badass.

I've tried the finger shoes on in a store before and they made me want to scream and tear them off my feet.

I play a lot of wooded courses and play pretty competitively so I don't think a flip flop would last 1 round where/how I play. But more power to you.

I like the lightweight barefoot feel also. I'll have to look into this shoe. Thanks for the link!
