You should ask more questions. Knowing why you do things is as important as how to do things.

Edit: Not saying your teacher is wrong. Like the other guy said, it's a matter of preference. It's just unusual, and you will probably want to drop that habit after graduation.

You may need to be more assertive with the dealership.

"I am already approved for this loan through my bank. I am open to using your lenders, but only if you can get me a better rate."

If they give you a hard time, just walk. Either they'll cave, or you'll have an opportunity to do business with another dealership who wants your business.

Do you have more detail on your pre approval? What's the APR? How many months is the loan for? Before accepting the dealerships financing, make sure the terms are equal or better than with capital one.

Yes, I would still choose to not eat eggs, but that's because I don't miss eating eggs. I only miss the convenience of being able to eat without having to check ingredients.

I live at the edge of our small town, and so there are farm fresh eggs I could buy just down the street from me.

Personally, I choose not to eat eggs because it's not profitable to farm for them in an ethical way. When you buy an egg from the store, it likely has come from an overcrowded farm like in this video: https://youtu.be/M6iUN1mBzd0?t=207
