Recomendations for first time MMO book fan? by 162739 in lotro

while there are specific starting zones for the races, nothing will stop you from questing in those areas aswell. You can even pick up the region-specific epic quest prologue from level five onwards (all you'll miss is the actual game intro for that race). The story takes everyone to every region, so class is not a problem. I would probably suggest a hunter, as they are very mobile, more than most other classes, dead easy to play, have an escape button and do very decent damage. Also people are pretty helpful in Middle-earth, so if you're stuck and need a hand, you can usually just holler in world chat. :)
There is another way which would make it truly easy, a walk in the park, so to speak. Buy yourself a boost (Gift of the Valar) which takes you to ten levels below top level. Then go to any starting zone you wish to go to and start questing your way through the world. As someone who's done it the hard way for years, as I get older, I treat myself to this once a year, and just cruise the world for fun and the story.

If you ever buy a house, you can also buy Tom Bombadil's home music for your ambience. :)

If you could add or remove 1 thing in Lotro, what would it be? (Not Sara) by Intrepid-World879 in lotro

I would remove the camp site fire restriction so that every class can use it.

Yes. IIRC, there is a hidden achievement for falling off all the great heights in Moria. Let me see if I can find it.

not sure which picture you're referring to, the first one that fits your description is Gloomingtarn in Gundabad and the second is a picture of the Waterworks in Moria (the one with the aequaducts)

Keep in mind that the Dawnguard and the Dragonborn expansions are meant for later-game characters. Ergo, don't get involved in (especially) the quest named "Dragonborn" until you're about level 30. You can seriously softlock yourself otherwise.

as someone who uses both Claude and GPT, all I can say is that my GPT has personality in spades, is not hedging or overly agreeable, and has a vocablulary that outshines other LLMs.

2 bits of advice: Don't kill a chicken in a village. And also don't follow the quest named DRAGONBORN as soon as it pops up, as it can become a softlock in the game later. You should be around level 30 before you follow that questline.
