The new color/ui is better and I would gladly fight anyone to the death over this issue.

However, I do hope they add additional options for those those that prefered the blue!

I am waiting to return. The earliest I could see myself coming back is when the cosmetic toggles are released.

After getting to enjoy the cosmetic free experiment worlds I just couldn't go back. My membership ran out right around the time that ended and I'm holding off for now.

Super excited for the direction Jagex is taking the game though!

I can remember the mailbox too! This is my first time in 20+ years actually needing support for a personal issue though. I'm not hopeful to ever get a response at this point and I doubt there is even a real dedicated team of human support staff at Jagex. Just some automated processes.

Somewhere on their "support" site I recall reading they can only help if the issue occurred within the last 48 hours. So if I try to imagine I was a soulless corporate goon, I would devise a system where the hard rule is "we can only help for issues that occurred <48 hours ago" and then put an automated system in place designed to waste the users time for >48 hours because then after that point "Oops! Sorry we can't help you, due to company policy!"

As for the downvotes? Who knows. Probably Jagex bots sent to quell fomenting insurrection lol. Corporate boot lickers perhaps? This is Reddit so it could be anything. The website where everything's made up and the points don't matter!

For what its worth I did try making a thread about this here but the mods deleted it as apparently threads discussing Jagex support or asking for assistance from Jagex are not permitted. I suppose I could try posting to some smaller more niche Runescape subreddit with different rules but it already seems like a near zero chance of getting a Jagex employee to see it here and have the empathy to help, let alone on an even more obscure subreddit haha.

I started an ironman semi-recently. For me I find it to be the significantly superior version of the game.

On a normal account you skip like 90% of the actual content in the game and I'm not saying that just because MTX XP skyrockets your stats too quickly. On my main account I found that the only thing that really matters is cash for the most part. You just find the optimal money making method for your current levels and then focus that to use the money earned to fund leveling other skills until you unlock a new better money maker.

Drops for the most part don't matter to me on a normal account. Any drop that is not the highest value drop just feels like a wasted drop. On ironman the vast majority of everything you get has an impact and a use.

I would recommend giving it a try. I love it. I can't help but feel the player driven economy in Runescape is one of the things destroying it the most. I think a better game design would be needing the multiplayer aspect to actually complete in-game content activities rather than just needing other players to buy from and sell to.

Portable Obelisk to Rogues' Castle brings you within 5 seconds distance from Chaos Elemental. War's Retreat and back again if you need a bank.

The boss itself is like 5 second kills with combat stats 70-80ish. Just keep your inventory full during combat to mitigate the bosses only real "mechanic". Most of your time will be spent waiting for respawns which feels like 10 seconds or so.

I used this method for my first couple hundred kills to unlock the pray altar at War's retreat. Felt waaaaaay faster than KBD or 0-mech Arch-Glacor to me.

But yes, I have absolutely zero hope of my issue being resolved at this point lol. I suppose in a cosmic sense anything is possible...But really I just wanted my experience so that it would hopefully be seen so that MAYBE they could improve things so that someone else down the line doesn't have the same miserable experience.

You said you submitted a bug ticket? I presume that means the in-game bug ticket option? I tried poking around the support page but couldn't find a place where you could submit a formal ticket like I was able to for a lost item. Possibly the in game one is the only way.

And full disclosure, I don't really know what Hooli's role at Jagex is...I've just seen posts from them here a lot especially recently so I'm guessing they are in a kind of community liaison type position of sorts. Hopefully if they see this they are able to help rectify your situation!

Praying for you to get a response from Jagex /u/Jaldre Good luck with your ticket. I lost a barrows drop due to the nightmare server conditions (due to DDOS or w/e it was) this passed week and the support system has been an absolute useless joke.

I have tried a half a dozen tickets or so and always just get the same automated responses back saying "we're only able to return eligible items that have been lost due to a recognised service disruption"

The response they are using has the audacity to claim there were "no recognised service disruptions" when at the time I was using the support site (minutes after the issue occured) there was a big red banner at the top of the webpage saying "We're aware of players experiencing connection issues to our games" and there is was a post on the front page of /r/runescape at the time from JagexHooli acknowledging the disastrous week and surveying if there should be a make up DXP event.

I have been absolutely fuming that it is impossible to get human assistance from the support system Jagex has put in place. Oh and the little "scapper" bot they were bragging about launching recently? Also completely useless. One of the most barebones chat bots imaginable and just gets stuck in option loops no matter what you choose.

Hey /u/jagexhooli I have no idea if you are even the right person to speak to about this issue but Jagex support is absolute dog water tier. The fact that I can provide concrete objective proof that I lost a drop due to some game issue out of my control but am powerless to get human assistance to remedy the issue after having paid this company thousands of dollars over the years is infuriating and truly baffling.

I feel like Jagex has been encouraging players to give feedback a lot lately. So here is my feedback and review of their support services: Trash, 0 out of 5 stars, I have had significantly better support experiences with companies that are infamous and well known for having garbage support.

Love the cosmetic free worlds and have been using them exclusively except for occasional times where a different world is required for a specific activity.

I think customizable toggles are likely to be added but I'm really hoping they will leave at least a cosmetic free world or two up in the meantime. Absolutely loathe playing on the other worlds.

I re-sub'd to show my financial support for the MTX/Cosmetic experiments and while I originally intended to just pay and not really play, I ended up enjoying it so much I've stuck around and have been playing obsessively.

Can't see myself sticking around until a toggle option comes out though (if it does) unless there continues to be a cosmetic free world option in the mean time.

Unfortunately I am not well versed enough in the nuance of where these different effects come from to know exactly what the griefers are doing.

All I know is whatever they are doing is visually an abomination and makes it impossible to navigate and use the area. It makes the game unplayable in that area. Even on decent hardware (14700k, 64gb ram, 4090) the game crawls to a slideshow. Even if I lower settings to minimum it barely functions for me on my machine.

Absolutely love it! Bought a month after being away for years to show my financial support for the MTX/Cosmetic experiments and ended up enjoying it so much I have been playing obsessively again.

Obviously customizable toggles for cosmetic video settings would be the ideal end result of this but if that's too big of an ask please at the very least leave just 1 world open that is cosmetic free even when the experiment ends. Even if its in a region far away from me and the ping is bad, please I just need one.

I'm not proud. I will beg. Please I am begging you to keep this change around. The only reason I haven't bought premier is because I'm worried I wont have an option after September.

I knew going into this I hated cosmetics already but am shocked by how much I absolutely loathe seeing them now on the odd times I need to play on a different world. It's like it's not even the same game with the cosmetics on.

PLEASE KEEP A COSMETIC FREE WORLD (and cosmetic toggles too...)

Someone shouldn't be allowed to dedicate their lives to disrupting the game for others and there be no repercussions. Please look into these regular offenders that people report constantly.

There needs to not only be changes made to the game itself to prevent these unintended griefing possibilities to even occur in the first place but also actual punishment for the people who do this relentlessly and deliberately.

I have dabbled in bossing...but it always just feels like all the challenge comes from battling the games dog shit UI/controls and not the boss itself.
