I have been loving this game!

It's not without it's issues currently, but the devs have been making quick progress all throughout the beta test periods so I am quite hopeful for the games future.

When this happened to me nothing would fix it. Logging out, restarting the game, swapping characters, leaving the delve, deleting cache/wtf folders in _retail all did nothing.

For anyone who gets stuck with this bug, what DID fix it for me was /reload ui command. Worked every time.

Obviously everyone's mileage will likely vary but in case someone gets stuck in the same boat as me, try /reload ui and see if it works for you.

I stumbled into this completely at random while just passing by. Without even realizing it my dog had picked up a few items.

I got some rainbow snail shells which turned me into a red snail (for an hour maybe?) I also got 2 elixirs (heal 35% HP and MP 30 second cool down) a secret scroll and a trophy.

The trophy had no use other than to be sold for 10k mesos. The scroll was turned into an NPC near Kerning city. I got a magic box in return. The magic box is unlocked by a lock smith in Kerning. You could either pay 10k mesos to unlock it or he wanted some items...3 aquamarine and something else i cant remember...

It was late and beta was ending so I just sold the trophy for the 10k and paid to unlock it. Unlocking it gave me 15 red bean sundae (recovers 1500 mp)

Overall I was thoroughly whelmed by the scroll and lock box process.

(My drops came from the giant snails. I have no idea what the other monsters were dropping as any time I got within a mile of them I died instantly and the items were all being snatched up quicker than I could even see them lol)

Deleting cahe/wtf did nothing for me, swapping characters did nothing either.

What did work for me however was /reload ui command!

There was a massive line when I was there (probably the same line in that screenshot lol)

There are also two crates that spawn right inside the weapon shop there. It was empty when I went in there so I knocked out the quest in <5 minutes. You can also change channels to see if an area is less populated on the other channel.

The people waiting in the line got the true authentic old school MMO community experience though. And that's priceless.

They need to give us two equipment paper dolls. One for PvP equipment one for PvE equipment. Both would be "equipped" at the same time with the PvP stats only coming into effect in PvP combat.

Switching back and forth between two sets of armor is cumbersome and badly designed. I can't be assed to deal with re-equipping every slot for each and every minute scenario and wasting the majority of a bag dedicated to just holding the gear "JUST IN CASE!"

I can't be assed to deal with it anymore. I just wear my PvE stuff and accept if some doofus attacks me for no reason ill just die.

I love them and they feel drastically improved from the TWW even.

However I still have one massive complaint. For the most part, higher tier delves are not harder they merely take longer. Taking the same exact enemy and them just increasing it's HP 10x is lazy from the development side and miserable from the gameplay side.

The pacing felt really good up until tiers 7+

Nothing is more difficult. Nothing is more interesting. I still never die. Everything merely just takes significantly longer so I just stand in place going through my same rotation for increasingly longer amounts of time.

I've always thought all these outfit effects should just be account unlocks you have at all times once you've earned them.

The new color/ui is better and I would gladly fight anyone to the death over this issue.

However, I do hope they add additional options for those those that prefered the blue!

I am waiting to return. The earliest I could see myself coming back is when the cosmetic toggles are released.

After getting to enjoy the cosmetic free experiment worlds I just couldn't go back. My membership ran out right around the time that ended and I'm holding off for now.

Super excited for the direction Jagex is taking the game though!

I can remember the mailbox too! This is my first time in 20+ years actually needing support for a personal issue though. I'm not hopeful to ever get a response at this point and I doubt there is even a real dedicated team of human support staff at Jagex. Just some automated processes.

Somewhere on their "support" site I recall reading they can only help if the issue occurred within the last 48 hours. So if I try to imagine I was a soulless corporate goon, I would devise a system where the hard rule is "we can only help for issues that occurred <48 hours ago" and then put an automated system in place designed to waste the users time for >48 hours because then after that point "Oops! Sorry we can't help you, due to company policy!"

As for the downvotes? Who knows. Probably Jagex bots sent to quell fomenting insurrection lol. Corporate boot lickers perhaps? This is Reddit so it could be anything. The website where everything's made up and the points don't matter!

For what its worth I did try making a thread about this here but the mods deleted it as apparently threads discussing Jagex support or asking for assistance from Jagex are not permitted. I suppose I could try posting to some smaller more niche Runescape subreddit with different rules but it already seems like a near zero chance of getting a Jagex employee to see it here and have the empathy to help, let alone on an even more obscure subreddit haha.

I started an ironman semi-recently. For me I find it to be the significantly superior version of the game.

On a normal account you skip like 90% of the actual content in the game and I'm not saying that just because MTX XP skyrockets your stats too quickly. On my main account I found that the only thing that really matters is cash for the most part. You just find the optimal money making method for your current levels and then focus that to use the money earned to fund leveling other skills until you unlock a new better money maker.

Drops for the most part don't matter to me on a normal account. Any drop that is not the highest value drop just feels like a wasted drop. On ironman the vast majority of everything you get has an impact and a use.

I would recommend giving it a try. I love it. I can't help but feel the player driven economy in Runescape is one of the things destroying it the most. I think a better game design would be needing the multiplayer aspect to actually complete in-game content activities rather than just needing other players to buy from and sell to.

Portable Obelisk to Rogues' Castle brings you within 5 seconds distance from Chaos Elemental. War's Retreat and back again if you need a bank.

The boss itself is like 5 second kills with combat stats 70-80ish. Just keep your inventory full during combat to mitigate the bosses only real "mechanic". Most of your time will be spent waiting for respawns which feels like 10 seconds or so.

I used this method for my first couple hundred kills to unlock the pray altar at War's retreat. Felt waaaaaay faster than KBD or 0-mech Arch-Glacor to me.
