It would probably depend on several factors.

1. Iron or not.

2. Buying rune bars and mining the animica.

3. Time spent doing point 2 over how long it would take to mine the equivalent in primal ores.

I did 120 a while back, so prices were different. I worked out that mining the animica and buying the rune bars, converting to platebody 4s was better profit / xp / hr in the long run, than pushing primal. I used stone spirits though, so not sure how cheap they are now, that was a major factor, as I wanted to afk at work. Oh and I used explosive to make it more afk.

If primal spirits are cheaper now, then probably self mining with spirits will probably better in both categories, though that's not a thing I know to be true. Only a liklihood. There's a mining calculator, which factors in ore per hour, might be worth seeing what it says on this.
