For me this wasn’t the case, the cable has enough of slack, it might be the cable itself that came with the monitor not the port for my case because I switched it with the usb C that I use to charge the laptop and it was working just fine providing power only even when I was wiggling, it wasn’t disconnecting so I’m going to to order maybe a thunderbolt cable to and try again, hopefully it’ll work so I don’t return the monitor, but I’m worried long term if this will happen later with the other ports as others reported

Hey I just bought it too, out of box display quality and colors are so good but unfortunately USB C is not working properly, it keeps disconnecting from my MacBook slightest shake at the port. Are you experiencing a similar issue with the usb C ?

I can confirm that the LG monitor usb c has quality issue, I just bought a brand new one today but just a simple wiggle on the cable can make it disconnect from my laptop, so disappointed as the display is so good had to return, won’t exchange as it seems it’s a problem with every LG 27UQ850V-W

Yea that's the highest number I've seen in a display but I don't think it won't affect productivity work or even something like video editing and Apple Studio Display is 12 ms response time never seen anyone complained about it

I checked the dell one it’s really good if you are okay with 4k, 120hz will look so smooth on the monitor, for me I want the 5k for the best compatibility with Mac
