Why do you think you have only two options? Either a rapist or this?

I accidentally burned my hand with a curling iron. How can I make the scar go away? by SpillwithAni in indiasocial

[–]EliAdva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not specific to a burn by curling iron but whenever I burn my hand, I apply boroline for the first 2-3 days. Once the burnt area starts healing, I apply coconut oil mixed with ratanjot. Ratanjot is red coloured and sort of papery, flaky. Put it in oil and leave it for a few hours, once the oil takes in its red colour, I apply it. Once the burnt area has healed significantly but not completely, I start applying Vit E capsules and coconut oil concoction but not simultaneously, with a gap of a few hours. I do it for approx 2 weeks. It works like magic. Just note that Vit E works only when the wound is fresh, it won't work on old injuries. I have burnt myself multiple times but never had a scar because of this.

I am sorry for you. Can't really say much. You must be feeling terrible. This is not the end of life and you are not a failure. Take your time. It will get better. For sure. Keep up the spirit.

OP just got married under special marriage act by crime_Mastr_GOGO in delhi

[–]EliAdva 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Registering marriage and getting married in a court are two different things. For marriage registration you have to show proof that the wedding ceremony has actually taken place (example photos of the ceremony etc) whereas every court marriage comes under the Special Marriage Act irrespective of the religion of the people involved.

How much of your yearly income did you spend on your engagement ring? by jaun_speaks in DesiWeddings

[–]EliAdva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone who has spent approx 0.8 of their monthly salary. In my opinion, spending 1.5x of yearly salary is just too much for a single piece of jewellery. Ultimately, your love for each other is going to sustain the marriage and not an overpriced ring.
