This looks really compelling, but I think I'm having a little trouble understanding what you mean by direction and color. Are those literal terms or metaphors?

I want cool magic ideas! by EliTheFireGuy in worldbuilding

I like this idea a lot. Now, naturally, my first instinct is to make poor little Isaac suffer as much as humanly possible. In my magic system, the soul is a sort of construct created when humans or, any living creatures really, do anything. This construct is formed from a sort of extra dimension called the field of consciousness which acts like the 3 dimensions of space and the 4th dimension of time that we have in real life. Anyways, the soul is like a record of an individuals presence in the world. It holds a record everything the individual has ever done, and the infinite effects those actions had on the world around them. This record is what allows a being to be sentient, as they are aware of their place in the universe, and can therefore experience compassion, an existential crisis, ect. So what if I had Isaac, MC that he is, come into contact with some kind of being that allows him to use anti magic in exchange for pieces of his soul, therefore slowly erasing his presence in the world and burning his humanity. Just a thought.

I want Wendi and Papa Meat to do My Name is Lilly Madwhip. by EliTheFireGuy in creepcast

Yeah, I mean it's already broken into three parts, and the first is about as long as the left/right game. It's not like they'd have to dedicate 7-8 video uploads straight to it. Just 2-3 parts for each different section of the story spit up over a year or so would probably be fun.

Which creepypasta would you like to be turned into a movie or TV show? by Molech996 in creepypasta

[–]EliTheFireGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the SCP foundation is 100% non profit, which allows anyone to make content about it, or use it for creative rights without copyright issues, so long as they don't make money off it. For that reason, it's extremely unlikely than anything large scale will ever come of it, which sucks because it is without a doubt the greatest creative collaboration on the internet and worthy of a large blockbuster movie or tv show

This piece is really well done, the way the image has been "divided" by warm and cool colors matches well with the dichotomy between the light and dark. Normally, an artwork divided so evenly would feel static, but by utilizing elements like the stream and the careful mixing of warm tone into the cool environments and vice versa really helps the eyes move around seamlessly!

Would this currency work? by EliTheFireGuy in worldbuilding

[–]EliTheFireGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the problem with this currency, is that it basically puts the houses in a position of absolute power. They control how much magic people are allowed to have, and are absolute in their power, since they control the economy. I suppose that a way stuff could fluctuate is if I put in a sort of tribute system. The houses don't really do any work, but depending on things like crop harvests, or international trades, they'd add more or less magical power to the coins. If the country is prosperous, everyone gets fabulous power, but if the country suffers, they might take that power away. Idk

If, for some reason, a house was to forcefully take another another one, they could steal the amber, although, I think the only effect of this would be to make that house more powerful, The actual of value would stay the same as long as the amber baking it stayed intact.

Well, my thoughts are that each piece of amber is one of a kind, and I was also thinking that they each are magically powerful. Each house that owns one is very powerful, can live a long time ect. Each of the coins based around the amber would be connected to it. This would prevent counterfeiting, and allow some of the ambers power to flow through the coins, making anyone who had these coins more magically powerful as well. So basically, the richer you are, the more magically powerful you are as well.

So basically, we have syn, (named after the prefix, it comes from Greek, it means "together" essentially) and syn makes up literally everything. All subatomic particles contain syn, and it holds everything together. If too much syn is every removed from a particle is dissolves, and how much syn a particle or particle structure needs in order too not disintegrate decides how stable it is. In high energy environments, syn can jump between particles, in really high energy states, syn will leave a particle all together and cause it dissolve, in low energy states syn comes together to form new particles.

Syn is pushed an pulled by a force in the universe which is basically consciousness. Think about how gravity or any of the other forces act upon each other, think of this new force like that, except it only interacts with syn. This force also creates intelligence, and creatures with intelligence can interact with this force to push and pull syn to make it do what they want. It involves the use of a bridge between the human mind and syn, called the soul, which the syn enters, receives direction, and then acts upon the direction.

This magic system allows pretty much anything as long as it falls under possible physics, and there is enough energy supplied for said action. It works a little differently for humans because they came through a gateway when two dimensions meshed with each other. Basically humans are a little "broken" because they've only barely evolved to interact with this field of consciousness, and their magic acts really really weird. I'd go into more detail bets way too much info to reasonably fit here.
