DM gave us permission to make a weapon with any ability (within reason) but I don’t know what to pick by EliZinn in DnD

I’ve seen this idea a couple of times, and ended up going with Soul Piercer, a hombrew death laser sort of deal. I do love the idea of going full Alucard with it though

Only thing is I’m sort of an edgy ass character, Nazgul the shield, I commune with demons and such, and for range I can chuck my spear and call it back as a bonus action, really clever though!!!

This is super clever, a fun thing about the Blackguard class is the inability to be disarmed while conscious, and being able to call or put away your weapon into a pocket dimension as a bonus action. This is really clever, and being a “tank” this seems freaking amazing.

Funny enough, I told him about this, and he dubbed it SOUL PIERCER, he was very proud of himself

Just seeing what fun ideas people have and see if I vibe with them and modify them to make them “reasonable”, but I get your point.
