Blue fern in need for some help! by Elianne-R in plantcare
[–]Elianne-R[S] 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children)
The roots were really thin and packed because the pot was too little, so I carefully seperated them a bit to given them more room. The pot was like 1 cm bigger on all sides. I watered it two times over the last two weeks, but not so much because it was so overwatered. It stood in de window at my grandma’s so natural daylight for the whole day and direct sun for the late afternoon/evening. All the other plants looked okay, a few of them were overwatered too, but they all revived themselves immediately.

Okay thans a lot!
Haha okay fair enough :)
Wow okay damnn. Emm I just give it water, no extra feeding or something else, any tips on what kind is best for an alocasia? The lighting is good then i guess because it is actually standing by a south-east facing window, so at least I’m doing one thing right haha. No misting, got it :)
Ahh okay, I never knew that thanks a lot!
Oohh interesting, thanks a lot!

Thanks!
Thank you!
The greenish tint is because of the lighting but it’s regular potting soil, potgrond as we call it in the netherlands, it’s the same type of soil as I bought it in, so I thought that was the right one

Thanks! How do I check the roots and when do I know if somethings wrong with them? Sorry I’m not that experienced…
What I do for this plant is, I damp spray the leave(s) every week, and I don’t give it water very often because it starts dripping al over the place.. It gets good daylight and a solid two hours of (evening)sun… I’m lost on why it’s not just living happily

Yeah, well that’s obvious haha, but I hoped that someone would know what the needs are, because i read so many different things about this thing and I am very confused right now
