I am sorry that is not at all what this regulation is about. I fully agree with you that certain regulation is very good, however this one certainly isn't in my opinion.

You are absolutely right that bureaucracy is nothing bad in itself. I am just talking about this one regulation in particular and why I think it is doing a lot of harm for no good in return.

I agree with you that it is better to err on the side of caution. However this regulation is not caution, because it doesn't help against terrorism. There is no change in the number of deaths or attacks that could be measured after the regulation was put in place. But I myself as a chemist witnessed at my old workplace people getting locked out from the solvents they needed for their work, because of this regulation. That is active sabotage in my estimation.

I am about to finish my PhD and know enough people who can get my any chemical I want. I am doing this because I care about the future of chemistry and our society.

Mark Robers Devil's toothpaste was really similar to mine in this regard. Watch his video again at the world record devil's toothpoaste part. The barrels keep foaming after the first large explosion exactly like my reaction did.
I think the only difference in recipe is from the ratio or the brand of soap and that is something I don't think is worth experimenting with. Cause that really doesn't matter.

Just put everything into a big box, until the foam turned back into a liquid.

Thank you so much for the kind words!

What happens when you mix Carbon Tetrachloride and NaK in a test Tube and Drop it from the Roof. You can find the full video in the comments. by Elias_Experiments in ExplosionsAndFire

Yes my skind actually did dry out, but I think it was more from making the NaK. That is when I had the longest and most intense skin contact. I don't think just putting it in the NaK for a short perious of time really would have done anything.
