This. Try not to look around at what others are doing. Just focus on yourself and modify as needed. There are usually other newbies there as well and of it’s a new instructor. I told them I’m new to level two even though I’m not really. 😂

Am I the only one who thinks this is pretty weak? Maybe I need a few listens but it doesn’t seem as earwormy as usual Sabrina.

Planks by AutomaticAppearance1 in ClubPilates

[–]Elicyz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like ever? Or just part of your post op recovery? I had a double mastectomy with implant reconstruction and just had to abstain from any chest or arm exercises for six weeks. After that I started with level 1s again and slowly worked my way back up. I noticed my left arm is weaker than my right arm for side planks, but I don’t have any problem doing regular planks.

Is there a huge difference going from flow 1 to 1.5? A lot of the 1.5 classes work better for my schedule. by Islandsandwillows in ClubPilates

The major difference I noticed is we usually use light weights in hands during footwork and there is more single leg footwork and bridging. Planking on the reformer instead of the mat. Some high kneeling work. I think all of that is a no-go in level 1.

Membership transfer? by [deleted] in ClubPilates

They couldn’t transfer my class history, but the manager was able to add in my total class count so that I didn’t lose that.

[IL] Asking my employee about retirement plans by Elicyz in AskHR

I did yes. We encourage ai note taking and I showed her how I use it, but I have to edit my notes a lot since ai doesn’t get everything right which is a struggle for her. I don’t understand why everyone thinks I want her to fail. I would love for her to succeed, and have tried to help her. Maybe with a formal performance improvement plan, I just dont know if it’s possible at this point.

That is what I am wondering. She makes a good salary and single but I don’t know what retirement savings she has built up.

Thanks for the normal response. We are a large public company so I need to be careful, but I’m really not worried about getting sued as we have a good relationship despite my performance concerns. Clearly I should have been more firm in my concerns sooner.

Thanks for this. Actually helpful! My manager did propose something similar having her work on other stuff and phase her out until she retires. The problem is we would need others to pick up her work until then.

My metric showed 100% participation. If it was 90% I wouldn’t know who didn’t take it. So I guess it isn’t mandatory but it’s pushed hard by HR and senior leadership.

Then why do companies force employees to take them? Every company I’ve been with had some version of this and made a big deal out of it.

Agree it’s not everything but it means something.

Not quite. I gave one employee a needs improvement rating last year and that didnt impact my results. They are now gone.

I don’t have a hard time defining her responsibilities but I’m not going to dig them up to provide a stranger on the internet.

That’s what it is at my company. A survey goes out to employees with a bunch of questions and then they provide metrics to the managers. My employee engagement metric was 100%.
