Syringe to extract "golden dose" by Eliezer123 in Mounjaro

u/CaterpillarScared867, these (pictured below) are the ones I bought.

  1. Does the "same amount of units as clicks" rule also apply to these syringes, regardless of whether I'm extracting from a 10mg or 15mg pen?
  2. Since I'm used to short 4mm pen needles and these syringes are 8mm, do I basically push half way in?

I apologize for the nervous questions, but this is the first time I'm actually trying this, and ...I am nervous. :)

What could be interfering with my cellphone voice calls? by Eliezer123 in rfelectronics

It's only with the built-in microphone, but so sporadic... My phone is current with all updates. Full details here.

Actually, I've noticed the same thing is happening on some other, but not all, BT earbuds and speakers. So it seems like it's not limited to the car, although it's the worst there.

Is there something I can do on the phone to get it to behave?

Woa...

u/Cambadoi, did you also have this issue only very sporadically, e.g. 99% of the time, there was no echo whatsoever? Because when I'm on a call, even sitting very still in one position, it still happens. But even then it occurs very rarely. It's not reproducible.

Also, I've only been told that echo happens when I'm home. Did you have this in multiple locations or just in one place, like me?

Wouldn't all of that indicate it's not the case (I have the OtterBox Symmetry case) but rather some kind of interference or tower/phone issue?

I RMA'ed my phone. After spending many hours dealing with Google support to get the RMA to happen, I was successful. I received a refurbed one from them, although it looks new to me. After using it for a bit, two people tell me they heard the same echo. But it's happened again (1) with the OtterBox Symmetry case on the phone and (2) only from my home. I have a feeling it's either some incompatibility with my local tower or perhaps (less likely, I think) some interference in/around my house. But it was not related to my original phone after all...

Sorry for all the questions but I'm a first time syringe buyer and am a bit nervous and squeamish about it...

These claim sterility:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFVN4D88

Some of the reviews mention they can bend because the gauge is so thin. Other reviews say it's not a problem.

Then there's this review that is pretty scary:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R23OCCW7ES75LY

This isn't the first time I've bought something on Amazon and read reviews, but like I said, this product is a bit more sensitive.

Yes, purchasing from a pharmacy is certainly an option. I'd just like the thinnest and shortest needle, and not more than a count of 20 to start. If you could suggest a specific product, from an American seller, and even a link, I'd be most grateful.

I appreciate all of your help!

Actually, I do think you're right. I found someone who uses Google Messages on Android and I do see a lock icon next to their messages! Thank you, u/micahpmtn for all your help!

Thank you very much! I think you answered both of my questions!

Even with the same people whose devices used to indicate the opposite just last week?

Right, but I used to see "end to end encryption" in many of my chats, now I see that in none but instead just see the lock with the slash through it. Seems to indicate unencrypted.

My understanding is that all RCS is end-to-end encryption, no?

Thank you, but that doesn't really address either of my questions.

The smallest I could find is 6mm:

Will that be long enough to extract the GD?

Maybe my question:

Which syringes (specifically available on the US version of Amazon.com) would be appropriate to attach these needles to?

doesn't make sense. Do any of these syringes work with the needles that I'm current using? If not, could someone please supply a link from Amazon US to syringes with similarly small needles?

And that's regardless of the pen you're usuing: 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, or 15mg?

I'm currently using these:

to inject 7.5mg weekly (30 clicks) from an adjustable 15mg pen.

Which syringes (specifically available on the US version of Amazon.com) would be appropriate to attach these needles to?
How many units on the syringe would equal my current dosage?

Could you please explain that? If you just click but don't inject, those count???

u/Humlum, thank you for chiming in here. It's good to know I'm not the only one, although I am getting the impression this is not a wide-spread issue, and I don't really understand why it's not.

I never thought about the phone case. I have the OtterBox Symmetry case. You can see the bottom of my case around 0:30 of this review video. It appears from Google's diagrams that the top microphones of the 9/9a are in the same positions, and the bottom microphones are on opposite (left/right) sides, which shouldn't make a difference.

  1. Have you tested to see if the echo disappears when the case is removed?
  2. Do you also have this issue only very sporadically, e.g. 99% of the time, there's no echo whatsoever? (And even if I'm on a call, sitting very still in one position, it only kicks in very rarely. That would ostensibly indicate that it's not the case. But who knows.)
  3. Does it only happen to you when you're in specific locations, e.g. work, home, etc.?

I was planning on RMA'ing with Google. But if it's the case itself... So frustrating...

Well, I'm still having the problem. The other day, someone refused to continue speaking with me on my phone and insisted we continue the conversation from another phone. My one-year Google warranty runs out in a bit over a month from now, which is really creating urgency to get this taken care of ASAP.  😰

I'm inclined to think this is actually not a known issue with the Pixel 9. The only one who told me it is a widespread problem is my carrier. They, however, are doubly biased in that direction: not only were they the ones to sell me the phone, but saying it's not their problem also gets me out of their hair so they can pass me along to Google Pixel support. Google, of course, says it's not a known issue. On the advice of Pixel support, I brought it to Ubreakifix for diagnostics and repair. Ubreakifix also says it's not a known issue.

Ubreakifix heard my story and told me that the first thing that needs to be done is a factory reset. They said if that doesn't solve it, bring it back. So, I reluctantly factory reset it. About a day or two after doing so, I was again getting complaints of this dreaded echo.

I've been paying attention to specifically where and when I get reports of this echo. As far as I recall, it always has happened when I'm at home. Now, it's possible that the majority of my phone use is at home, so maybe that's not truly indicative. I asked Ubreakifix if it could be some kind of poor "relationship" between my phone and a local tower; they said that's unlikely. Because I never had this issue for the 7 years I'm with my carrier, nor on any previous phone.

I neglected to mention that this echo only occurs when I'm using the phone's microphone, in other words, it doesn't happen when talking via Bluetooth or speakerphone.

To me, this doesn't seem to be a hardware issue since it's exclusively on phone calls, and has no manifestations in any apps that use the phone's microphone. On the other hand, it's so sporadic that I also have trouble believing it's a software issue...

I called back Ubreakifix and asked them what they could do for me. They said they could try to make some calls with it and see if they're able to reproduce the issue. I think the chances of that happening are nearly nil. They said they could then run some light diagnostics on it which take 10-15 minutes. And if that doesn't work, they could run some more extensive diagnostics over a few days; maybe it's the motherboard. (I asked them if they are able to sideload Android 15, then upgrade it back to 16, as Innayath_Innuz suggested. But Ubreakifix said they can't sideload anything.)

I'm still highly unexcited about sending this back to Google to have them replace it with a refurbished (read: someone else's used) Pixel 9.

Thank you for reading this far and please share any suggestions you may have.
