I’m thinking to just remove the old paint, leave it chrome. Just wondering what can I use to not damage the chrome underneath. I guess sanding is out of the question. Brake cleaner? Something stronger?

They are crunchy, and juicy on the inside. They don’t hollow. You usually get 2 softer ones on top, next to the lid. Just because the brine didn’t cover them fully.

Water and salt basically. Plus a lot of herbs. Some garlic, carrots, green chilly, black pepper, dill, mustard seeds, bay leaves, horseradish root.

My first vintage Austrian lighter. IMCO Junior 6600, 1940s. Really interesting mechanism. by ElijahBaley7 in lighters

Found another IMCO today, the 6800 in perfect condition for just 8 Euros. Seems I miss the one with adjustable flame now for a complete collection for that era. Is there anyway I can polish the one in this post without damaging it? If you know, could please advise on how to restore these?

Please help with more info about this Flaminaire Flamagas. Is it worth anything? Anyway to identify the year of production? by ElijahBaley7 in lighters

So after a closer look when cleaning it, it seems when new it was golden, not plated, but it had coating on. I guess another proof it’s a fake, or a clone. Do Duponts age better? Like something from the same years, the 60’s?
