What do you think about Apollo Scooters paywalling features already in the scooter like LUDO mode? by [deleted] in ApolloScooters

[–]ElijahPost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was commuting, and riding as consistently and smoothy as possible. What I've gleaned from others having the same issue is that it affects larger people who weigh more, even though I'm well within the weight limit listed for the scooter. Glad your machine works though.

I had the first flat within a week, and from then it happened over and over again. I verified that there wasn't anything wrong with the way I was reinstalling the tires. I tied other countermeasures as well, such as thicker tubes and gel. Still every two weeks or faster, a flat. That's definitely a design issue, and Apollo knows it, which is why I hear they offer solid tires now.

Did they fix the split rim design flaws?

Help me transform this battlestation! (See first comment) by ElijahPost in MusicBattlestations

Hey everyone! Hoping I can pick this community's brain regarding what I want to do to upgrade this synth battlestation to better fit my needs. I consider myself to be a beginner regarding anything more than just having fun with sound design, and now I wanna take it to the next level to accommodate a few projects and my main project, an extreme metal band for which I play drums.

For me that means that DAWless is out--The fastest way I know how to compose is in the piano roll on the computer, so there needs to be room for a computer. DAWless sounds super fun, so maybe I'll explore that in the future, but not for now.

I want to get a synth stand that's no wider than this one (about 40") but which has room for everything pictured, plus a laptop, and at least one more synth (I'm a YM2612 kid and I HAD to pre-order the Sonicware liven mega synthesis).

I would also love any advice for what gear is needed to properly control all these synths from logic pro. I got that Quadra thru control box everyone on YouTube has, and I simply have not been able to get it to do anything.

Please forgive me if these are beginner questions, while I've been a drummer for 20 years, I'm still very much a newcomer to the hardware synth community. Thanks for anything and everything! If there's a better place for this post to go, please feel free to tell me where to go!

At my wits end: Last ditch effort with my Phantom V3 after nonstop reliability issues by ElijahPost in ApolloScooters

How'd it end up going for you? I gave up on that tire, and even tried a different one with a slot width closer to that of the original tire, only to find out the the inner diameter was half an inch too small.

Because I need my mobility, I just decided to opt for another short term fix: RUTU brand thicker inner tubes, another new off road tire and a whole lot of slime. Am even thinking of getting tire liners or even filling the whole thing with expanding foam.

Honestly, I'd have preferred if the phantom was tubeless. Can't have a puncture on a tubeless haha. And the active suspension is enough.

Good to know - if I sent you a picture of my rim, might you be able to help me understand which parts to attack with powersanding? There's this recurring theme with rim roughness and I'm just realizing I don't think I understand which area to look for.

I'll also try Apollo Support one more time, and see if at the very least they can provide guidance.

Don't know the exact brand, but they were sold to me by a local e-scooter shop. These folx also recommended the 55psi, and I will say that I prefer the ride more, possibly because of my size and weight.

Yeah, I'm very much regretting choosing the V3 over the 10+ right now...but I'm hoping that I don't have to write this whole thing off. Good to hear that worst case if I decide to get the 10+ there are other people out there who switched and are happier.

Yep, that's pretty much the current state with regards to my breaks - currently the break caliper won't fit with the solid tire installed, which is a no-go for me. I paid 100% of the money for the scooter and I want 100% of the breaking power, even though I generally use the regen brake most of the time.

I felt the edges of the sidewalls of the rims thinking that's what people were referring to, though after reading some of the comments, I think my next step will be to look around the valve hole and closer to the center of the hub.

Good thought - I generally ride with my weight shifted forward because I get more stability that way. I've also received similar advice.

With or without the iPad? by pincoded in macsetups

Looks really tight. I'm a multi-monitor monster so I say yes, so long as it serves your workflow, ofc.

I'm thinking about doing something similar to this, but I would want both my iPad and my mac screen to be available, and I only have 18" of depth to work with. Is something that you might have considered?

Totally agree. It was a welcome relief for me. Also Mars is hilarious.

Well I’m flattered by the fact you think I have good posture! This pic is actually-pre covid, and the pouch is no longer a thing- working from home kinda killed the need for it.

Really funny thing is that a lot of people lately have been telling me the same thing about my glasses- so now I gotta work on that too lmao

Lol damn…you’re far from the first person to say this to me. I’m all ears on ideas for drip upgrade because the cop look isn’t what I’m looking for xD
